Good Atmosphere, Highly Recommend Kristy For Hair 1/13/2009

I first went to Soleil Crew Salon looking for a change in style and was booked with Kristy. I told her I was looking for something new but didn't know what I wanted exactly, she completely took over and told me a shorter layered look with some highlights would be perfect. She was right I absolutely loved it, and consistently love my hair every time I leave. The atmosphere is also a perk, good location right on the harbor and very friendly staff. Book with Kristy she's great with cuts and color! more

Best Hair 1/13/2009

I wanted to share my experience that I had when I have had my hair done here.... FABULOUS! Audrey always listens to what I would like done whether it be the cut or the color. Unless of course, I let her just have fun. Regardless, she always makes sure that I am happy and does a great job. I also recommend her to any bride.... I have very fine hair that doesn't hold curls very well and somehow she manage to have mine stay put for 10 hours... I will be calling her soon for my next appointment. Pros: Quant salon... Great Hair....always with Audrey!!! 1/13/2009

Not sure where to start....the cut, the color, the always upbeat crew, the beautiful location...All is good with Soleil Crew Salon!! I loved the atmosphere at the salon as soon as I walked in. Very intimate and warm. Luck was on my side when I was seated in Audrey Honeycutt's chair. Audrey took a lot of time looking at my hair and asking me about what I was looking for. Audrey always explaines to me what would work and what would not and why. My hair has always been ""about "" the same lenghth ...(mid to lower back) with various cuts. My last trip in I went with the ""same thing"" answer when asked what we were doing this time.....Audrey looked at me and said....not this time......(I have very thin fine hair).......she said we are going shorter with a different cut......and just a slight change in color.....when she saw the look of terror on my face........""change ?""..........she very calmly said....""Trust me...you will love it!!"" Well........I DO LOVE IT!! My hair looks much thicker. So....if you are in need of a new you....or just some TLC for your locks....look no further.....Call Soleil Crew Salon.....ask for Audrey ...... you will be well taken care of!!! I recommend it to all my friends 1/13/2009

I initially went to the Salon for my wedding hair styling. I met with Audrey Honeycutt ahed of time and we looked at some styles and I told her what I had in mind. A few weeks before the wedding, I did highlights with her and showed her some clippings of semi-up do's that had caught my eye. Rather than blindly singing their praises, Audrey came up with something even better. I had so many compliments on my hair the day of the wedding - it was just what I had pictured in my head but could never find an actual picture to show Audrey. Thankfully she wasn't bound to the images I had brought her but listened, considered my hair, face, dress and makeup and came up with something truly magnificent.\r \r Since that day, Audrey has been my regular stylist. And no offense to Soliel Crew (they are a friendly and talented group), but if she ever goes, I'm going with her! She takes great pride in her work and gets to know her clients. As a result, she can always find a blend between what I think I want and what I can actually make look good on a day to day basis considering my disfunctional flat iron skills and distaste for spending lots of time styling my hair. \r \r I recommend the salon (and Audrey in particular) to all my friends! more

Make-up artist definately not professional,hair by Kristy good 4/10/2008

First of all, I was totally misled by receptionist as far as the ""TRIAL"" appoinmtent. I went in expecting to do a trial so that they can get an idea of what I wanted and give them an opportunity to experiment with my make-up and hair to figure out what would be satisfactory for my wedding day. Before starting my make-up,Kristina made it known that there may be a conflict with her schedule on the night of my wedding. But decided that she would continue to do my make-up that day anyways. I specifically asked Kristina, the supposed make-up artist, NOT to use red on my lips or purple on my eyes,as I explained that I wanted a bronze natural look. I got the idea that she must not have wanted to do my wedding or couldn't but wanted to make money off the ""trial"", because she made my foundation paste white, my lips red and eye shadow purple. She deliberately did exactly what I had asked her not to do,. I could not believe that I had to ask her to change it, and she again applied another shade of purple. I thought I was on candid camera, and I was right next to the owner who never said a word as I explained my dissappointment that she hadn't listen. I paid for a horrible experience and I am very frustrated that the owner did nothing. Kristy did my hair and she did a good job of curling it. But my frustration with Kristina took away all pleasure of my visit. Do not get a make-up ""TRIAL"" visit with Kristina, I only wish that I had read the review that was posted here,before mine! I went to the company that is hosting my wedding and my agent even commented that she didn't recognize me and she thought my make-up was too light and thick. I find it amazing that she was appologetic for me having had that experince with Soliel Crew Salon and she had absolutely nothing to do with my upset. Therefore, I feel that the owner and supposed make-up artist Kristina lacked concern for their clients satisfaction with the job that is performed within the Soliel Crew Salon. Great hair, average make-up 12/30/2006

I had my wedding party's hair and make-up done here on recommendation from the company doing my wedding. The internal ambience was nice and the staff friendly. Nikki did my hair, and both the trial and day-of updo was marvelous! My bridesmaids likewise loved their hair. For the price, it can't be beat and Nikki was absolutely fun to talk to. But I cannot say the same for the make-up. Christina was our make-up artist, and although she does great foundation, she is very heavy with eye shadows. Wedding party make-up is typically more dramatic than normal, but hers was far darker than expected, and her technique questionable. My bridesmaids looked like they had a thick ?line? across their lids whereas mine was a bright blue from lashes to eyebrow that definitely did not match with my darker skin tone. Needless to say, my wedding pictures ended up horrible and will need major editing! Also, we finished an hour and a half late, so be careful when booking for events. Pros: Loved the hair, prices reasonable Cons: Make-up ended up being embarrassing more
