Avoid Solantic, bottom line 12/23/2010

Will never go back. For a basic procedure I was charged a "complex" procedure at twice the price without my knowledge. I was completely shocked when the woman told me my bill was over 200 dollars at check out. I was expecting to pay 90 dollars and I ended up paying twice that out of pocket. I will definitely be disputing this bill and filing complaints with the BBB and attorney general of Florida. Terrible service with shady business practices. more

Shady, Shady, Shady 12/7/2010

I took my husband there because he had a fever of 104. As we were waiting in the lobby children were running around and playing with the water machine spilling water all over the floor. The receptionist never said a thing to the parents to control their children, until I slipped on the floor. Once my husband was seen they ran a flu test, and a strep test and when both were negative so they said he needed to go to the ER to get a Spinal Tap. We asked if he could by chance have a Sinus Infection and were told no, even though the doctor said his sinuses were inflammed. We chose not to go to the ER because we thought it was a bit drastic, good thing we didn't because the next morning my husband went to the Minute Clinic and was given an Antibotic for a Sinus Infection!! Two days on the meds and he was as good as new. \r A few weeks later when I was checking my bank balance I see a charge for 51.00 from Solantic. I couldn't understand why I had a charge weeks later after I had already paid m more

Working FOR solantic 11/30/2010

The do not care about their staff as much as about patients... MONEY - that is what they care about. There are some people working who are really good and professional. Employee are working hard and very much underpaid, NEVER get any raises!!! Remember applying for Solantic, you will NEVER get a raise, even a cent!!! No respect to employees what so ever! Slaves!\r Managers do not have any medical degree! It is done on purpose, because it's a bussiness to make money, nothing else! \r They will take you to the back office knowing that eventually will send you to ER, just to be able to charge you. \r Most of the MAs do not have their MA Certifications. It's just not required! Very professional!\r I quit.... could not work there any longer. Done! No regrets. Arividerchi. more

Worthless 9/16/2010

Worthless, I brought in some forms from my HR dept that needed a doctor to review and sign but since they were not solantics forms he would not. Even though the forms were just saying I was healthy enough to do a sporting event. You would think solantic would be able to a sports physical....\r \r Worthless, but you get what you pay for I guess. more

Good and Fast Service 9/16/2007

I've had to use this specific Solantic twice in the last 2 years when my Primary Care could not fit me in for a week - Both times the doctor and staff was very attentive and helpful. I was in and out - one visit was afternoon and the other was early morning and both times I was in and out in just over an hour which is amazing for "urgent care". I haven't experienced what the previous poster stated - either visit. The office is neat and well kept also. The waiting area could be more comfortable as you have really sick kids next to people getting routine tests, but that is the nature of offices like this also. more

Solantic - Go there for HIPPA violations 4/1/2007

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is a Federal law passed in 1996 (PL 104-191). \r \r When you visit Solantic, staff will yell out your name (allowed), will ask what you want to be seen for (all in the lobby will hear - not allowed), people will hear information about your medical provider, your private address etc and staff may even yell out your test results for all to hear. Staff do not appear to respect privacy and confidentiality laws, and will leave your private info. on their desk for all registering patients to view! When told, they will insult you an ask if you want to leave!\r \r You should learn about HIPAA. Why? Because penalties for violating some of its provisions can be severe, and may be directed at an individual, not just an organization. Email: Carolyn_Dudley@dcf.state.fl.us. more
