Soho Clothing

Having just moved to Raleigh, I'm on the hunt for local stores that carry innovative styles. I think Soho will be one such place for me. My first visit was yesterday, and I enjoyed browsing the racks. They do have some great pieces, but the prices are $$$. However, I found the owner to be oddly unfriendly (kind of NY cold), and the sales assistant to be less than enlightened. When I admired one piece but said it was too long for me, she insisted it was fine (even though the hem of the dress was on the floor when I was holding it up). I think good customer service in a high-end boutique should realistically assess what pieces look good on a customer and not just try to push pieces for the sale. I like honest feedback and don't think I could get it there. That being said, I'll probably be back to to peruse the sales racks. I could not believe the difference in treatment that I have received at this place. One young lady is simply amazing, non-intimidating, helpful as can be. The owner on the other hand treated me so poorly that I felt I had to write this. Rude responses to my innocent questions about pricing, and she grabbed an item out of my hands to put it back on the rack when she assumed I was not going to purchase. I think a repeat buyer such as myself deserves much better. I hope she reads this and changes her tune. more

I can't say enough about this store. I had the most enjoyable time shopping there. The clothing variety and quality are outstanding. The staff is charming, cheerful, and very helpful. Just cannot be beaten. Service and management are outstanding. Window displays compel you to come in. more
