Dr. Bruce Sobel is the best physician in the valley. His staff and office are excellent. You will get A+ service from them each time you visit. Very accomodating. Allways willing to see you same day. I drive to see him from Chandler and it is wort every time. more

I've been a longtime patient of Dr. Bruce Sobel, as well as Becky, a PAC there. I've always been rather anti-doctor, very skittish about seeing doctors for any reason ever. However, I trust Dr. Bruce and Becky with everything. They are always very concerned, compassionate, and thorough. I've brought poor Dr. Bruce and Becky some very strange ailments that I am sure would make other doctors question having ever gone into medicine, but they did what they had to do to fix things. I've read some of these other reviews which are all false, blatant lies as far as I can tell, from some very racist, backwards, uneducated halfwits. (to whomever stooped so low as to make a derogatory remark about them being Jewish - seriously? That's the best you can do is make religious slander?? WTF? What are you, a Hitler reincarnate??) Regardless of what some of these other inbred brainiacs are commenting in here, Sobel Family Medicine is hands down the best place to go for proper care. Dr. Bruce is just beyond awesome, as is Becky. I've never seen the other doctors there, so I can't speak for them, but if they are part of Sobel Family Medicine, I'm sure they are just as awesome. more

the receptionist that calls your name (pink scrubs) has no idea how to run an office. i unfortunately got in a yelling match with this moron and took full advantage of coughing mono in her face(just kidding but i should have). these people over book themselves horribly, i have been there 3 times, all three times i have waited over an hour. do not be fooled by the medical sign, this is a business, their last name is Sobel, that says it all. they have a new patient walk in every 5 minutes. stop and think. when have you ever been to the doctor and have it take 5 minutes? basic math will show that it is impossible to stay on time like this. they want as many people in and out of that front door as possible, also doc larry is the last person you want telling you about a serious illness you have. he deflects all your questions answering indirectly, leaving you scared poopless until your next visit, surfing the internet for better answers then that business man can give you. never see a jewish doctor, they just want you money. more

The first time I met ""Dr"" Bruce Sobel, I was at his office for a $400 immigration physical. The staff was rude and unhelpful and I was treated as a dollar sign. At that visit, I brought with me records of my past illnesses and immunizations, so they don't have to vaccinate again. Although my records showed clearly that I had a certain disease as a child, he insisted he still had to vaccinate against it because of immigration standards. I found out later from a different doctor that it was a bold lie. Therefore he loaded me with chemicals against a disease I got as a kid and got over, just so he can make more money. Every time I went to see him afterward, I waited for at least 1 hour before they brought me to the back in an exam room where I waited for another half an hour for Dr Bruce to come in. When I questioned the staff about the long wait, they snapped at me saying they had an emergency. As far as lab results, they NEVER call you. Even after multiple messages, they don't call back. Dr Bruce barely spent 5 minutes with me in the room, didn't listen to any of my input and didn't care about me being involved in my health care. His approach is always to load the patient up with drugs and doesn't ever consider another approach. 'He only cares about making money and more money. Dr Bruce has ALWAYS pushed the most expensive drug on the market to me or my husband. He prescribed $60 antibiotics and $20 drops for swimmer's ear. Luckily, I didn't listen to him and went to a specialist who solved the problem with a couple of Ibuprofen for 5 days. more

I want to let you know that Larry's diagnosis was right on the money. Tests at Mayo confirmed that stones were causing an obstruction in the common bile duct. They were removed on Monday, and I am already feeling much better. Larry stressed the importance of having it checked promptly, as it could have advanced to a far more serious state. This is the best family practice experience I've ever had. The doctors are great and they'll bend over backwards to work you in at the last minute. The chiropractor on staff, Dr. DeMartino, is first-rate. Seeing him always makes me feel better. Dr. Bruce Sobel and Becky Urso, his associate are excellent, kind, caring health care providers. Let me tell you my experience with Sobel Family Medicine.\r I went there for an immigration exams. I paid for translating my medical records abroad and when I showed them, they didn't even look at them. They were so quick going from a patient to patient.The reception lady tried to cheat and show me some papers that they say I have to do some extra exams, that my immigration instructions don't even mention this.\r Anyway, they were rude and come up with a bill of $400 for 2 shots and a lab. I don't believe this cost that much. more

Okay.If you wanna be treated right.Dont go to this clinic. The staff are rude and rude. They are the worst clinic on earth. Coming from a country where rude doctors and staff probably originated, they are worse than them, cant believe it and I havent heard of insurance processing fee in my entire life, until I went to see this clinic. you pay for the co-pay and processing fee. money makers idiots. The Sobel medical offices are the worst I have ever dealt with. The receptionists make no effort to help their patients with simple requests. They are also extremely rude, and quickley revert to arrogant sarcasm when they decide they cannot help you. The lab personnel are simply unresponsive! I left six voice messages over four days requesting to know if some lab results had arrived in their office and they never replied. I also left several messages with the doctor I had seen asking for help with my situation and never received a response. I just moved to the Phoenix area and found Dr. Bruce through an online search that lead to their website. For one, they were one of the only doctor's that I called (that were in my insurance and could be my PCP) that could take me in right away - let alone within a shorter time than a couple months for my first appointment. The wait was nothing bad at all, typical and what should be expected for a first visit especially. The nurse that first took me back was very nice and seemed thorough. The doctor came in somewhat quickly compared to what I have experienced in the past. He was thorough, and attacked my symptoms from many different angles. He actually had me do the lab work site on scene which is not normally how my doctor visits go - doctors usually set up and appointment for a later time to come back for X-rays, bloodwork, etc. And above all that, I got results almost immediately! Of course the bloodwork wasn't immediate, but I heard results with a couple working days which is much faster than I have ever experienced.\r \r Above all of this, I appreciated the fact that this office and doctor are open to different kinds of treatment, as well as strongly believing in prevention. I am tired of going to the doctors and having them barely pay attention to what is really going on and just prescribe something to treat my symptoms. Dr. Bruce tended to cover most bases - and is interested in doing other things before surgery or prescribed medicines. \r \r The only negative was the staff at the front counter - they were on the rude side, and are not very good on the phone when making an appointment. Bruce has been my Doctor for over ten years, I drive from Ahwautukee to Shea to see him. Short times to get appointments, great office staff, very accomodating, up to date medical knowledge and Manipulation. Always ready to follow up and a real pain about making you stay on your meds and get better. Billing satff spent six months chasing down an extra $15 I paid in error, finally getting it straitened out. Can't help but think those other reviewers just receiving thier karma dose for the week. more

I have never met a more rude and inconsiderate office in my life. My husband had seen Dr. Bruce Sobel for some time and wanted to change physicians. He asked for a copy of his record so he could let his new physician know his history. Sobel Family Medicine wanted to charge my husband $100 to copy his chart. I did not know paper was so expensive. If the new doctor had requested the records they would not of charged to pass the records on. Talk about an office that looks out for the best interest in their patients. I would NOT recommend this office to anyone who wants to be treated with respect and with their best interest in mind. Cons: RUDE, INCONSIDERATE more
