Snodgrass King Dental 6/10/2011

All of the staff is great. The office is child friendly. Often way to crowded. They seem to find something wrong with our kids' teeth every visit. It's expensive. There was a recent change in orthodontists and we were not informed until child came out after seeing the new one. We were not sent a letter or anything, even though a different orthodontist began and implemented the current plan. Have felt for a while that this group was not for us. Now I'm sure. more

Dr. Michael Oakes is not a nice man. 6/10/2011

Nice office and office staff. As far as Dr. Oakes, I don't like the work he did. He was nice until I didn't like how my crown felt. He made me cry. He lectured me. He complained about his job. Never again. more

One TERRIBLE Experience - Won't send kids back 2/2/2009

My three kids had been going to Snodgrass-King for several years without any noteable problems. My 9 year old child starting having problems when his permanent teeth started coming in. Initially he had 4 teeth removed to make room for his adult teeth. That procedure went ok although I had him scheduled for sedation and they did not sedate him. Instead they gave the nitrous without my knowing of the switch - apparently my choice of sedation was not written in the notes. Although that was disturbing for me, I let it go since my child was ok with it and had been sufficiently numbed and came through the procedure well. About a year later he needed to have two more teeth removed due to more crowding issues. Since he was fine with getting four teeth out before, we had no reservations about getting two more out and even decided the nitrous would be sufficient. We were SO wrong. Things went horribly and since parents are not allowed to be present I had no idea until afterwards. My son was not sufficiently numbed this time and could feel the whole procedure. When they brought him out he had tears running down his face and his eyes were bloodshot from crying. Later when he could talk he said he cried and yelled the whole time they were pulling, but they would not stop and made no effort to ensure he had been fully numbed. I promised my son he would never have to go back there. \r \r Pros: Fun waiting area for kids if you get there early enough before appt. Cons: Parents not able to be with child during procedures to ensure quality care. more
