Drinks are inexpensive - and you get a good amount of food for the price. I ordered a steak (and it came with a salad bar, potato and thick toast) - and couldn't finish it. We also had a server (from the bar area) - that was fantastic - attentive without being overly pushy\r more

A great local fun place in a very small ""main street"" town there are lots of local shops nearby and great eats!!!\r more

Found Sneaky Petes the night of an ice storm that stopped us in our tracks back in 08. Woodfired steak and catfish with potato, a cool old style bathtub salad bar, Texas toast, and a couple of draft beers in Mason jars for less than $30. Can't beat it--don't wear a tie :)\r more

The food is very good, alot of wonderful items on their salad bar. Of course, their steaks are the best. Prepared they way you want them. The ladies work hard to wait on their customers. They have a great bar which is very fun on Friday nights with the ""local"" singers celebrating their karoke! We love the view of the river and when the lights come on, the main drag through town is beautiful!\r more

We had been on the road for a week and this place was one of the better places we ate at. It was a bar with a dining room attached to it. Very cute...reasonable and good food. It was a place you felt you could relax in. I had the shrimp skewers and bake potato...very large servings and had a cute salad bar inside an old bathtub. Don't miss it!\r more

I really love steak and SP's is one of the best I ever tasted. The owners are great and make sure that every meal is enjoyed. The potato salad is really good too!\r more

Sneaky Pete’s honors the day when Buffalo Bill used to hang out in LeClaire. Seating in the dining room is on benches at long tables, some with a great river view. Drinks, even wine, is served in Mason jars. Dinner choices are cooked over a wood fire. The salmon and steak were very good. The salad bar is presented in a big old cast iron bathtub filled with good tasting salads. Fully stocked bar and good service will put this on our favorites list.\r more

Enjoyed dinner here with a bus group. Absolutely one of the best steaks I've had in my life and the price (about $18) was very reasonable. This is not a fancy place, but rather a fun place --- decorated with cut-off ties hanging from the ceiling. The fixing's -- a salad bar and baked potato were good, but the steak was exceptional -- wood-fired, tender and oh-so- tasty! The only downside was eating while sitting on hard wooden benches, picnic style, was not very comfortable and the servers could have a little better\r more

The food is great, the beer is cold, and the restaurant is filled with atmosphere! I try to eat here every time I am in the area. You will not be disappointed with the Ribeye.\r more

A group of friends went to TugFest, got into town a little early and decided to stop into Sneaky Petes for a bloody mary. One of the best bloody marys' we have had in a long time. The bar wasn't huge but had great atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly and the drinks were served in mason jars. Later that night they had a band in the basement, which our friend told us were great. We had a great time and I would recommend this bar to anyone visiting\r more

There was 6 of us and you sit right on the river. The food was very good and the restaurant was clean. It had a fun atmosphere. The salad bar had all of the good stuff on it other than just plain lettuce. The help was very attentive. The prices were just were you expect a steak. I was told the seafood was just fantastic. Very comfortable place to spend an hour with friends.\r more

Our first visit to Le Claire Iowa and Sneaky Petes will not be our last. My porkchops were great, my friends velet was tender and the salad bar was fresh with all of the fixings. I can't imagine a better value in the area.\r more

My family recently ate here by recommendation and we would recommend it to others. The food is very good and cooked over a woodfire grille. Upon entering the restaurant you can observe the food being cooked via a plexiglass window. No fryers here, nothing is fried which means no french fries, only rice and baked potatoes. The salad bar is served in an old cast iron bathtub and the atmosphere is western and relaxed. No ties allowed unless you want it to be cut in half and tacked up on the wall with hundreds of others. This is a busy place, too, so call ahead. Lunch prices were quite reasonable, dinner prices reasonable. Great river views, too.\r more

Definitely one of, if not my favorite, restaurants in the area. I've been coming here since i was little and haven't stopped. Atmosphere is kind-of tacky, but in a good way. Out of the 25-30 times i've been here i've only had one bad experience. Food is great, prices are not too high for what you receive, and staff is usually friendly enough. The salad bar items are killer. Potato salad and macaroni salad are amazing.\r more

The salad bar was in a big ol' fashioned washtub, and the ingredients were very fresh, homemade croutons right out of the oven. They even had applesauce.\r more
