Smooth Surfaces

I decided to use Smooth Surfaces even though I had read the previous reviews. I went in and spoke with Levi and was candid about my doubts because of the other reviews. Boy am I glad that I did. I am not sure what happened with the other customers on this site, but my experience was nothing but positive. He and his employees were professional, on time and on budget. The quality was excellent and the service was as well. I thought I would post my positive experience also. I will recommend this company to any who ask about counter tops. more

Such a terrible company! Do not EVER use them and we're shocked they're still in business. Levi, their owner/president is a liar who does low quality work, blames it on the customer when him and his guys make repeated, expensive erros and then threatens court action. He also agreed to install our new cabinets in addition to the countertops and him and his guys were in our house installing kitchen cabinets for over 1 month. It was clear they had no idea what they were doing. We refused to pay for his crappy work that was full of his mistakes so we ended up in court against him since his bill was over 2x his quoted amount (we paid the quoted amount and then fought over all of the extras he tacked on) and we won in court but big pain and we definitely should have gone elsewhere. Terrible, terrible company. Wish I would have read the other bad reviews prior to selecting them. more

WE had a terrible experience with Levi, owner of this company. He cut the wrong sink size for our granite bar in the basement, installed it before we knew the wrong size was cut, and took us to court to pay full price for something we didn't want. Because it was already installed, we were stuck with it and ordered to pay nearly full price while he lied in court. of law. more

I should have the other reviews prior to using this company. it was a huge mistake, expensive, and they charged extra items which are not accountable in the install or countertops. I relayed my concerns to their owner and he blew me off and threatened court action if I didn't pay the extra charges. Cons: unethical, extra charges more

Do not use this company no matter the price. They will screw it up and try to pin it back on you. They have no money and a con artist for a Pres. Wolf in sheep clothing. Pros: Non Cons: everything more

I brought in a bath vanity top they said they could cut to fit my space. However, when I arrived to pick it up the next day they told me it was still not done. 15 minutes later they called to let me know they ""shattered"" my countertop. The owner then told me to buy a better quality material next time (it originally cost nearly $500). He told me they would not compensate in any way other than to sell me a similar product at cost. I had already put down tile and installed a vanity base to match that top. They chose to leave the customer feeling cheated. I will NOT be recommending them to my family or contractor friends. more
