So there's a car parked in my spot and i tried to call my onesite manager at least 8 times to no answer. I figure, call SMitty's Towing to get them out of my parking spot! I called Smitty's about 10 times. Each time the phone rang at least 10 times before I hung up. Pros: none, because they never came Cons: not 24/7, didn't even pick up my call more

Totally agree with ccgallagher and rippedoff449! This people just want your money at any cost so they have a ""plan"" of how to make the most money...I guess its a nice business to be in but they have horrible policies all to their advantage...so BE CAREFUL! I almost got run over when trying to stop the truck that did not even stop after that! By law they should...so...thats only a small thing Their fees are the highest in town, and Id say well above the Sheriff's approved rates...$215 p/hr!!!! I mean not even lawyers make that much!!! If it was half, I would be ok...but thats only inflation and compared to other places they are well above it. Just so everyone knows, if you ever stop a tow truck that has your car on it, they are by law supposed to stop and give your car back by paying (half) the towing amount they charge...and yes, they HAVE to take credit cards. Lets fight for our rights, these parasites are only harming society!!! Cons: Customer Service, Everything more

I agree with ccgallagher. These people towed my car and held my car for ransom charging unreasonably high fees that are out of line with their competitors. They have no concern whatsoever for the people. They only want your money. Cons: All more

I love this company!!!! The drivers are clean (which is rare with tow truck drivers) and very helpful. My dad was upset cause I locked my keys in my car and it was 2 am, but the driver was there right away and I felt so much safer. It's hard being away from home, but I'm glad I have them to help me out. Especially at 2am!!! Pros: Service 24/7 Cons: They aren't in my home town more

I was involved in a horrendous car accident earlier this month. Because my car flipped over several times, I was, needless to say, dazed. The CHP called Smitty's and when they arrived, they didn't ask me if I had a AAA card (that would've paid for the towing service). They got my car back on all four wheels but then made us wait for about an hour for a flatbed tow truck to arrive. The flatbed never shows up but the tow guy finally figures out that he could just replace the flat tire with my spare tire and tow it back to the yard. So he finally does that and we go to the tow yard. When we tried to get our belongings out of the car, they told us to get out because it was ""dangerous"". THEN they lock up the yard for the evening with our belongings still in the car!! When we ask if we can get our stuff, they tell us that we need to pay an extra $100 to get into the car ""after hours""! On the final bill, they charged us BY THE HOUR even though it only took that long because of their own incompetence and we had to pay the ""after hours"" entrance fee to get our stuff. When I called them to dispute the bill, the lady started yelling at me, telling me that BY LAW, I had to pay whatever the tow company charged me. She actually said it was in the Vehicle Code and she hung up on me! I had access to the Vehicle Code and there was nothing that said that I had to actually pay whatever the tow company charged me.
