My husband has been shopping at Smitty's for 10 years and has bought every gun he owns from them. He is a service technician in st.louis city and county and has been in about 95% of the gun shops in the st.louis area and he knows for a fact that Smitty's is one of, if not, the cheapest shops around and the most passionate about gun rights in any of the shops he has been in. Very very knowledgeable about gun laws and products. He will never buy from anyone else. Oh and every time we take our kids in they get blow pop suckers! more

Over priced/Full of BS 3/7/2012

This guy is totally out of his mind on prices. He is more expensive than Dunns and Denny Dennis by a large margin on both new and used Firearms. His ammo prices are also higher than anyone elses, even for 15 year old discontinued ammo. He will not compete on pricing with any other shop in town either. He acts like he sell's tons of products everyday at those prices! Then if you ask him about price matching another shop he becomes offended and rambles on and on at how he never has a problem selling at these prices. The guy needs a reality check. This is one shop that could close and nobody would notice. more

Never Again 1/16/2011

Retired Military. Customer for 10 years. Bought AR for almost 2G's. Came back 2 weeks later to ask for assistance with gas piston mechanism. Told to read instructions or call Ruger for help. Older gentleman absolutely a JERK. I qoute ""I don't have time to help you"". Thought I'd get local small town service, but got the exact opposite. I now shop in St. Louis at local guns shops and get great service, before and AFTER the sale, DO NOT SHOP AT SMITTY'S, you'll be greatly disappointed if you ever need help. more

Awsome Place!! 11/1/2009

I've been dealin with Smitty's for over 15 years as a cop and as a military wife whos family LOVES to hunt and sports shoot. They will treat you great, always help, and if you have any problems they will go the extra mile to make it right! I won't shop anywhere else! Even when we lived out of state while my husband was in the Army I would waite to come back home to buy and stock up from them. more
