Smith Muffler & Brake

I have had an increasingly loud exhaust problem and knew it was probably the resonator. They confirmed this and replaced only that part. I had always heard good things about them, and now I know this for sure. There was no up-selling or circular logic.They did the job fast and inexpensive. I was waiting for the high price due to my car being German, but it did not happen. Because the back pressure has been restored, it feels more responsive on the throttle. And it has a cool bass sound now. Can't recommend the more highly! more

charged me $72 to drive my car around the block & tell me i needed a new transmission (which i already knew). took my business elsewhere. more

I went into Smith Mufflers today expecting to spend a lot of money. My car had been really jerky and I spun out on the highway. The man at the front desk said to lift the car up and run some diagnostics would cost around $30-35 and I would only have to pay that if there ended up being nothing wrong. After the mechanic took my car for a drive he discovered that I just had low tire pressure and filled it up for free! It's very nice going to the mechanic and them not trying to rip you off, take as much money from you as they can or trying to upsell a ton of different products. I will definitely be going back!!! more

I had my complete ehaust replaced on my Honda accord at Smiths on 5th in Covington and it progressively began getting louder and louder after 2 weeks, I've made several attempts to return but they're either closed or the Mechanic already left for the day. I really don't want to use a vacation day from work for this and I didn't want to go to another muffler shop because I already paid Smiths for the work, they may consider they're hours of business at least one day a week. more

When someone rearended our car we called the insurance and they recommended to take the car to Kansas Coachworks to get it repaired. We took the car there and they drove us to enterprise to pick up our rental car. They had already taken care of the paperwork for us and all. It took almost 3 weeks for the repairs to be finished, but they kept us in the loop on the progress throughout the whole time. Their service people were friendly and helpful and took care of all the paperwork with the insurance and rental place for us. We didn't have any hazzle at all! When the car was finished we simply dropped off our rental car at Kansas Coachworks and drove off the lot in ours. It was bad enough that someone wrecked our car, it was really great to see a bodyshop handle this in such a professional and easy manner! I would recommend them to everybody. They also have great opening hours. They are open late and on weekends too. more

There is no better auto repair shop in Cincinnati. Don’t let the name fool you. They can fix just about any mechanical problem on just about any vehicle. We have had so many problems over the years with our Honda Accords (1992 & 1997). The Cincinnati roads and weather is horrible for the cars. Smith Muffler has saved us on more than one occasion. Now if you’re looking for the cheapest game in town, this is not it. On a consistent basis, Smith Muffler is almost always a little to a lot cheaper than the dealership. So, you’ll get some relief there, but you’ll also know you’re getting the peace of mind that you car is gonna get fixed right. In fact, there have been many occasions where we really didn’t have the money to get the car fixed. Smith Muffler found the problem and then let me know if I really needed it fixed right then or not. And there where many occasions where they’d let me leave without making me feel like I must fix the car immediately. This is the sign of a good shop. more
