Independent of the service you choose - Best CPA firm 8/7/2012

I started out as a sole proprietor in 2004, they assisted me annually with my tax preparation. After a rough start with a shady firm, I found Smart Tax in 2006 and have been with them ever since. As my revenues grew and I needed to issue myself payroll, they were able to meet my payroll needs quarterly, as well as issue tax payments and file annual returns. When it became clear that I needed to make my business official, they helped me form a corporation and prepared my financial statements monthly allowing me to make the necessary operational changes conducive to growth. In recent years, I've added employees, payroll, insurance and a simple plan and they've been there every step of the way. Never pushing, but definitely guiding and supporting my business with smart advice and timely service. more

Impressive CPA firm in many ways 10/12/2011

What impressed me the most was how easy it was to talk with my CPA. He was not only knowledgeable and professional, but warm and personable too - Not dry and condescending as some CPA's I've met can be. Other positive things I noticed were their flat rate billing policy so that I can call them up anytime without fearing a fee, length and type of experience, and all the little extras that they throw in to ease my burden. Very service oriented. They did my taxes last tax season and this year they have taken over my payroll, bookkeeping and accounting...saving me money every month. The only drawback was changing over from my old payroll service to theirs forced me to make some changes, but that only lasted for a couple of months while we got into a groove working together. Now, it's seamless and simple. more

Five Star Tax & Accounting Service 7/21/2011

Good: Tax and accounting experience was easy, straightforward, and educational. My taxes were filed afte a comprehensive analysis and check was done. My bookkeeping and accounting get taken care of on a monthly basis. Best CPA Firm :-) I have been to their Southfield CPA location and Lincoln Park CPA location. Their Novi CPA location is new. Great Start-up Business Services 3/18/2011

Hi, when I was starting my own company, I went to them for assistance in setting up my incorporation and advising on business loans. They gave me a break early on with the fees, knowing that I was already dealing with some heavy financing issues. Since then I've gone on to have them handle my payroll and bookkeeping. They are truly a full-service financial firm! more

Complete Financial Services Provided by Genuine People 3/4/2011

As my needs have grown over the years my accountant has been there every step of the way. When I wanted to roll over my 401K my accountant logged into his account and showed me what he does with his money. I appreciate that he's not selling my business for a commission. I know that he is doing for me what he would do for himself or his family. more

Excellent Full Service Accounting Tax Payroll Firm! 2/20/2011

I have been using Smart Tax (Bahl & Co., P.C. Certified Public Accountants) for nearly 20 years. I am an interventional cardiologist with my own company in Jackson, Michigan. Smart Tax processese my payroll, all my tax filings, and does my monthly bookkeeping. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They come in on the weekends regularly since many business owners can't make meetings during the weekdays. Excellent quality, affordable prices, and pristine service! more
