Skyway East

My husband took me to Skyway East last night for my birthday, he made a reservation a few days ago and was told that were would be fresh flowers on the table for me to take a home, matches, and a birthday cake; I received none of that. I ordered the epicurean and my husband, an escargot appetizer and the captain?s platter; the portions were very small- my lobster tail and scampi were tough, and the waitress took my husband?s escargot away without asking him and before he was finished with it! They?re pricey, but that is something to expect with a finer restaurant that caters to their customers, this wasn?t one. And, to make the experience even worse we expected a somewhat intimate table, instead we were seated at a booth in the middle of the room and regardless of all the open tables everyone who came in after us was seated right next to us-I couldn?t even hear the conversation my husband was trying to have with me. Skyway East is one of Mansfield's finest upscale restaurants. We go there for the prime rib, which is always delicious. Everything is top-notch and service is excellent. It's worth the drive to go there. more

Nice restaurant.. Most wear suits and ties.. This is not a blue jeans and tshirt type of place.. Service was great, and food was ok..I had a steak and while it was good it was nothing special. This is a really nice classy place that I wouldn't take children to.. Prices are fairly expensive, but worth it because the setting inside is so nice.. Also offers a good size banquet room with a bar. more

This is a sit down and enjoy the evening kind of place, with a warm, pleasant atmosphere and excellent dining. Reservations are recommended. Upon arrival, you are presented with a couple of books of matches with the name of your party printed in gold letters on the front of the match books. The restaurant itself contains two large dining areas and a bar. The service at the bar is prompt and cordial, and the waitstaff is always charming. We have been there many times and never had any issues with the service. There is a salad bar, featuring fresh greens, assorted toppings, several well chilled dressings , soup and fresh bread. However, the hot fresh bread brought to the table with the sweet butter is a real treat that I will bypass the bread at the salad bar for the bread at the table. The wine list is very good. Ive had the house wine by the glass often and the merlot is a fine, full bodied wine that goes well with the beef dishes we come here to enjoy. My favorite here i more
