I chose Skyview dental because it is close to where I live and I honestly made the mistake of looking at other reviews online (not on yelp), where the dental group had gotten three stars. \r
\r
If you care about bedside manners, if you care about a dentist ACTUALLY taking his / her time to answer JUST a question or two, then stay away from Skyview Dental. \r
\r
My first time here, I saw Dr. Tickoo, I had checked out Skyview's site and because of the info on the site, I was happy I got to see this particular dentist. She was so abrupt, could not be bothered, barely wanted to answer any questions. It had been several years since I had last seen a dentist and I was getting the usual first time service -- x-rays, cleaning etc. For me, the lady who handled the x-rays was nice. The secretary at the front desk was SUPER NICE, she's awesome. The office waiting area is nice. The dentists? No. \r
\r
Back to Dr. Tickoo, after the x-rays were done, she came in, did a cleaning (no introductions, no 'hi how are you?' or other questions re: dental history), and then she JUST LEFT. I asked ""Wait, wait....that's it?"" She turned around (at this point she's at the doorway of the office) and says ""You have two small cavities, come back to get them filled"". Again I asked ""Wait, two small cavities, anything else? What else did the x-rays show?"" and I barely got an answer! What in blazes?? Mind you, the OFFICE was NOT packed. There was only one other patient that was in the waiting area at that time, that was it. \r
\r
So I got up and was already getting ushered out of the office! I have never had a dentist act like their practice was some kind of car wash, where a patient is hurriedly ushered in, no question is asked OR info given, and then ushered quickly right out. Ridiculous! \r

Fast forward about two and a half weeks later, I went in for my cavity appt today and I was hoping NOT to get Dr. Tickoo, which I didn't. Instead I got another Dr. and I wish I knew her name but needless to say, her info is not on their site. She was a blonde dentist, and she had the exact same manners. While she's taking care of my cavity, her cell phone goes off mind you, she stops what she's doing and says ""oh I thought I turned it off"" -- which was ok by me, BUT once she was done, I had to say ""Look Doc don't leave I have a question"" (I was rinsing my mouth at this point). I turn around to ask her the question and there she was -- TEXTING merrily away on her cellphone and we had just barely finished with my appt, (I was still on the dental chair). I asked a question about dental implants, and w/out looking up from her very important texting session, she gave me an answer. So sorry to bother you Doc!! Then as she was leaving, I say ""Oh, wait, when can I have coffee or eat?"" and she answers me but by this time she was walking out the door. I'm thinking, I HAD TO ASK you this? You couldn't even take one minute out of your DAY, your WORK DAY to truly be thorough with the work you are doing? \r

This time, THERE WERE NO OTHER PATIENTS in the office, not in the other two rooms next to mine OR in the waiting area. Another car-wash, get in/get out mentality. Ugh! I WILL NOT be returning to this place, forget that.
