We got more air time than expected, and we were served as much champagne as we wished in the air and when we landed. Oh, and they flew a birthday banner for me :). Overall a great, great time, and a fun way to spend a birthday. more

I decided on SkySurfer. Connie the owner is so nice and helpful, and also gave us a great rate (which helped us be able to tip the crew later). She emailed me a confirmation with all the info, and gave good directions, etc. The flight ended up being amazing. The crew is chill, and Pete our captain (or whatever you call the main guy) was great. He was very experienced, and crushed any fear I had about the flight and heights. He also was able to give us the background history on hot air balloons, the company, etc etc, and point out some key places that we were passing over down below. more

Perhaps the most impressive part was actually near the ground. We floated down into a calm little park / retention pond area with tall palm trees. It was a total dead spot -- almost no wind -- sheltered by the steep hills rising up into an exclusive neighborhood. So, we got within about ten or twenty feet of the ground again and just sorta hung out for a bit... dodging palm trees... shortly before buzzing some nearby condos. more

The ride was mostly over Rancho Santa Fe, so you can imagine some of ridiculoawesome houses we buzzed. A notable one was Bill Gate's San Diego house, which is right next to Jenny Craig's horse ranch. And, we also found out that not everyone in Rancho Santa Fe keeps their pool from turning green, even in late May. more

The flight itself was amazing. For someone who is a bit height sensitive, it was hard to tell I was off the ground, it was so smooth and so gorgeous. We watch the sunset and flew near the coast. It was great. more

We tried twice to fly with Skysurfer-first time our pilot canceled on the field because dark clouds come rolling in. Other companies out there flew anyway. I was glad we could reschedule because of weather. The second attempt to fly was worth the wait! I telephoned Skysurfer and asked about the beware messages sent two times by Melanie and Merilee. Skysurfer explained they are two deadbeat sisters who want to use their mother's ticket and want the expiration date extended into 2010 but paid 2009 rates!. Don't let two rotten apples spoil your fun. Fly with the best, you won't regret it! more

Great fun was had by all the passangers. Frank is a excellent pilot who seems to have plenty of flying time. I would recommend the flight to everyone. more

Pinnacle is the best flight school I have flown at, and I have been to quite a few. Their instructors are experienced and really good at teaching. Their airplanes are newer and in great condition - and they are one of the few schools that actually have real simulators, and not just one, but 2! This really helps keep the cost of training down. Thanks to the Crew at Pinnacle for doing a great job. more

the ballon company is a great company. they are always help ful and they know their stuff. they always are helpful and great low prices. they always do their best and you can call them on short notice and they will be their to help you. there is no doubt about that. they never try to leave you hanging. more
