Clean, Inexpensive friendly service 4/23/2008

Just to start off I have not personally been to Skyline Restaurant & Casino. The reason for my review today is because I recommend it to my parents. You see my parents were driving from Arizona to San Francisco to visit me they gave me a call and informed me that they wanted to stay in Vegas for a night. Knowing that Vegas can be some what complicated to navigate and a hard place to make choices I offered to find them some inexpensive dinner and hotel recommendations since I was in front of my computer. I went on a limb and Trusted some reviews I read online; Mainly Excellent Prime Rib Dinner for $10.00 and that the place was very clean and hospitable. They trusted my advice and decided on dinner at Skyline. Pros: Affordabel $10.00 High quality Prime rib dinner, Excelent service, Clean Cons: Casino has seen better days more

Great Late-Night Eats! 11/5/2006

Hubby, some friends and I stopped here for a late dinner one night during the last Renaissance Faire (we're part of the ""living history"" performances there). We must have come during an ""off time"", since the place wasn't crowded at all, nor was it smoky. The service was fast and cheerful. The chicken-fried steak was fork-tender, crisp and juicy, and topped with a very good gravy. Hubby's top sirloin was also quite tender and cooked to perfection. The salads and sides were pretty standard stuff, but the rolls - oh my! They were hot, fresh, and tasted home-made! We will definitely be back next year. This place is easily the best ""dive"" in Henderson or Las Vegas! Pros: Tasty food, good prices, friendly service. Cons: Parking somewhat tight. more

I loved the Skyline 1/10/2006

My husband and I travel to Vegas 6-8 times per year. I read the reviews on the internet about Skyline and decided to try it. I am glad we did. Loved the food, the service, and the gaming. I found the place to be very clean and very friendly. The prices I thought were average. Would I go again. Planning to in February. Try it you'll like it : ) Pros: Good Food, Good Service, Good Atmosphere more

Coffee 6/22/2004

I am not a coffee drinker, but at the Skyline I usually have at least 2 cups! Each pot is freshly ground and they use the best coffee beans. I've asked what kind they use of course and of course they won't tell me. Pros: value , coffee, specials Cons: , line at dinner, charges to take out more

Vegas' Highlight 12/20/2002

No way do we go to Vegas without taking our friends to the Skyline! We eat most of our meals there. We took our grand-daughter a couple years ago (8 at the time) and had to go every morning for a prime rib breakfast! Strip quality at better then back home ""favorite joint"" prices. Taking more friends this January, and can't wait to introduce them to the Skyline. It's my #1 recommendation, and all who take my advice come back with rave reviews. The Skyline should pay me a commission!!!!! (lets keep this place our little secret) Pros: relaxing, like a favorite joint, no place is PERFECT Cons: go off eating-hours., gets crowded, parking tight @ peak more

full up 12/5/2002

we ate at the skyline last year and it was good ,we had the 28oz porterhouse for 3.99 andit was better than anywhere on the strip more

Some Things Never Change! 11/30/2002

The Skyline is an eastern Las Vegas landmark. Where else can you still get a delicious prime rib dinner for '70s prices? The food nor the ambience have probably never changed since the day the restaurant was founded. It looks like the greasy spoon everyone in town went to for Sunday dinner where I grew up in Eastern Washington (sans the casino)--definitely not a spot to take a first date! However, the food is good, down-to-earth, stick-to-your-ribs victuals. Actually, the restaurant is located on the eastern side of Henderson on the highway to Boulder Dam. To save yourself a few bucks and have a terrific dinner at the same time, and perhaps meet a roadrunner or two, the Skyline is the hottest roadhouse around! Pros: inexpensive, good, basic food, plenty of parking Cons: crowded more

cheap 11/22/2002

Very yummy and cheap. Very smokey however and not so great to look at. Pros: Inexpensive, Great food, okay service Cons: smokey, crowded at times more

Hot! Hot! Hot! 10/16/2002

This is a family friendly place that serves your food fast, hot, and with friendly service!!! My daughter Myah who is 3 yrs old, wants her food now, so when I take her for b-fast here, she gets her food fast and hot, and is a happy girl!!! Pros: Cheapest b-fast in to, Great food, Great service Cons: Not enought non-smoki more

Royal treatment and Royal Feasting. 10/5/2002

Every time I have dined at the Skyline, My party and I have felt like we have been given the Royal treatment. The food is wonderful. I have never been disappointed. I always take visiting freinds and family to the Skyline. The atmosphere is so calming and relaxing. Pros: atmosphere, parking, location Cons: more healthy menu more

GOOD 8/8/2002

ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO GO FOR THE DOLLOR. BEEN THAT WAY SINCE THE BERINNING OF TIME ALWAYS A GRET STOP ANY TIME OF DAY. more

Atmosphere? WHO CARES! 8/7/2002

I've never had a problem eating at the Skyline. Then again, I frequent the graveyard specials all the time. The air is clear, the food is prompt and always good, and the price is the kicker. People who expect a cookie cutter-esque cafe like all the other big casinos need not come here. The Skyline has been around for decades, and it shows, but that's what makes it unique in this ever changing city. Pros: Cheap, Cheap, Did I Mention Cheap? Cons: Distance from Vegas, Cash Only, "Atmosphere" more

HIDDEN GEM - DON'T TELL TOURISTS! 8/6/2002

Sketchy indeed, but well worth the germs. Hidden in the back of a Boulder Highway roadside casino, the Skyline captures old-vegas like few still can. A can't miss is the $4.95 prime rib meal, complete with all you can eat salad bar and a 60-year waitress who brings you hot rolls that you swear she baked herself. Pros: Cheap, Cheap, Cheap Cons: Far away, Little sketchy, Smoky (even in NON) more
