Skyline Animal Clinic

Our cat was apparently poisoned. I called the emergency number at 11:00 on a Sunday night and woke Dr. Daugherty up. Even so, he was thorough in his questioning and said he'd come in to see our cat if we wanted him to. I met him about 20 minutes later. He did an exam and offered a friendly but frank diagnosis for our cat Bob. We decided to treat him that night and make a final decision after blood work the next morning. Unfortunately, Bob was too far gone to be saved. The staff was VERY understanding of our emotional state of having to put our beloved friend to sleep and treated us and Bob with the utmost respect. I can't thank the staff enough, and especially Dr. Daugherty, for the exceptional service, caring and understanding they provided during this terrible ordeal. more

I took my dog there to be spayed and they did a wonderful job!! All the employees we very sweet and you could tell they loved the job. The only suggestion I have is if the animal requires additional services call and get the owners permission. While my pup was asleep they went ahead and removed 2 puppy teeth that needed to come out. They charged me $25.oo to remove the teeth. What would have happened if I had not been prepaired to pay that? Again let me stress the service is wonderful and the employees are great. I will continue to use them as my vet. They just need to let you know before they spend your money. more

The service they provided me was fantasic! Unfortunately when the car hit my dog it was too much for him to survive and they did have to put him down. They werevery caring and compassionate. Today I received a sympothy card in the mail in which they wished their condolences and everyone in the office signed it. That really meant alot to me especially during a time like this. This clinic does not provide efficient care to animals. My dog had been sick for a while and the doctor kept assuring me that he knew what it was. Eventually i got tired of waiting for him to figure out the problem. I took my dog to mansfield animal clinic and he assured me he knew exactly what it was. Not long after my dog was back to normal. It's pretty amazing how two doctors can be so different. I have heard other peoples horror stories about how the vets. at skyline try to cover their own butt and really don't know what the problem is. I am glad there is one capable vet. in this town that knows what they're talking about. more

my brother in law has a mini weenie dog that some how got poisened.we took her to westuck on wednesday where they said she had e-coli and sent her home with med's..when i went to check on her saturday what i saw shocked me..a puppy dying. and has been to a vet?? we rushed her saturday to skyline emergency where we ment dr,mitchel..she said this dog dont have e-coli and told us that if we didnt bring lula in she would of been gone that night.she was so friendly and answered all of our question's..thank's to her and the staff my niece has her puppy back...thanks to her and the test's she ran. more

This is the best animal clinic. They have a #1 staff and considerate doctors. I had a sick puppy and the doctor waited while I called my husband to explain our options. He offered to talk to him for me because I was so upset. \r \r The assistant in the reception area answers all my questions when I call. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. It's easy to get an appointment. I will always take my animals here. more

When our sheltie took violently ill very suddenly, we took her to Skyline Animal Clinic. She was almost dead when I ran in the front office with her. The staff just dropped what they were doing and immediately got a doctor who told me she was in a coma and didn't know if they could save her. I asked him to just try. The others in the waiting room were so nice and seemed more to care about my dog than their delayed wait. For 3 days we thought she would die, but they had someone with her almost all the time and checked on her at night too. They told me to come any time to visit her and explained what they thought it might be and what they were doing for her. They saved her and today she is happy healthy spastic sheltie thanks to their excellent care. more

I have never been treated worse in my life or observed such poor and unethical behavior before. A really close friend of mine had taken a small dog to this facility for emergency care on a Saturday afternoon. After initial care the dog was going to be fine. It needed to have a small operation that was to take place the following Monday. Late Sunday night LeeAnn Miller, DVM, called and stated that the dog had taken a turn for the worst. She asked if the family would like to come up there. Since I was there with them during the time, I accompanied them. She was completely rude and refused to answer any questions about what was wrong, and anything that might have changed. She told them that they needed to take their dog and leave the premises because she wanted to go home and go to bed. I have never met a more unethical veterinarian, and I do not recommend that you take your animals there. Chances are they will refuse to answer questions for you and will treat you poorly. We've taken all of our animals to the vets at Skyline Animal Clinic for years and have always received the best treatment. They've always given us appointment times to meet our needs and then treat our animals as valued patients. All the employees here seem to want to give you all the time necessary and never mind answering questions. The facilities are always clean and bright too. PROS: Convient hours, professional staff CONS: a little costly more
