They have you commected if you dis agree 10/13/2010

This place is so bad they force drugs on you the guy in the video looks like he is 60 years old he was a great guy until they screwed him up on drugs. He is back on the spice as far as I heard. The time I spent there was the worst do not ever send any one there. more

ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY 8/20/2010

As a former "client" I agree with 98% of what this person wrote. The turn over is high and the majority of the staff don't give a rats ass about you. more

Great for day treatment or North Patients 9/30/2009

Positive environment for all adult ages. Very friendly staff at the health and educational center. Beware of the staff at the South residential center. Staff at South is uncaring and rude. Specifically Clevon, a staff member who also works at a psychiatric hospital, is overly aggressive and outright mean to clients. The head person Natoya is also mean and condescending. She is quoted saying, ""why don't you go cut yourself,"" to another client while I was staying there. As long as you are a day patient or at the North residential facility this place is highly recommended. If staying at South, be prepared for the incompetent staff. Pros: Exelent staff & counslers at the Health and Education Center Cons: Staff at South residential facility are rude and uncaring more

Do NOT go here or send loved ones here under ANY circumstances unless you want them re-traumatized. 12/12/2008

I'm going to preface this review with a disclaimer: one of the biggest - if not THE biggest - problems with mental health treatment in the U.S. is that simply being labeled "mentally ill" automatically throws everything you say and do under suspicion. The mentally ill are not stupid; many of us are quite lucid and brilliant, but the reasons why treatment never improves is because the people in the best position to point out the flaws - the mentally ill - are too often written off as being liars and exaggerators. Therefore, I understand that there might be people who will say that I'm making this stuff up, but I wasn't the only one at Skyland Trail who witnessed what was going on, and I do still keep in contact with several people I was there with who can validate everything that I say. Pros: Absolutely nothing. Cons: Completely apathetic, amoral residential staff. Unstable, unsafe environment. No real thought or effort put into groups or therapy. Simply a front to make money. more
