I have been here twice and had a blast both times. The place looks kinda broken down from the outside but who cares about the building right?? Right!! So first you pay and sign your life away. Then you are taken downstairs and put in gear! Then you walk the path to the plane. Worst than the walk of shame.. It's like the walk of death. Anyway... If u buy the video they will be talking to you and distracting you a bit so you are not as nervous. The planes are all small two seaters. So the plane takes off as you sit in your tandem jumpers lap and it starts going higher and higher. I believe it goes up to 9000 feet but I can be wrong. The view is breath taking. You see san Diego, Mexico and the ocean. Then the little door opens and your life flashes before your eyes. Luckily they always throw out the guy first lol. You crawl up to the door and assume the position and then you are off! You would think it would be scary but it's not since the speed and the wind basically make you float on air. No crazy stomach feelings like the ones you get from a roller coaster. Then they pull the chute open and life is good! You know it opened!! Then you get to open up your arms and fly... U can do flips before they open the chute if you ask them for it. Anyway,, finally you land and they drive u back to where u started. You can then edit your video and add the music to it! more

Had to rate it five stars because I am still alive after jumping out of an airplane. Awesome'!!!!!! My sons gave me this as a Christmas present, I am their old mom. I loved it!!!! I wasn't sure what to expect but it was really amazing. Everything went quickly without much time to get too stressed out. And you don't really jump, you kinda just fall out of the plane and then .... You are falling thru the air and loving it. more

This was the most awesome, thrilling, and scary things I've ever done and I can't wait to go again! It definitely wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. My instructor and camera guy were awesome and made me feel comfortable. Instructor was Andre and camera guy was JT. more

I have just received the video of my skydiving adventure of April 15th. Please give a BIG thank you to Merlin for me! He helped to make my skydiving experience very fun, memorable and safe! Merlin was a true professional with just the right touch of humor and patience with me. It is obvious that your skydivers and pilots work hard to make sure each patron's experience is exciting and safe, for which I am truly grateful. I will certainly recommend Skydive San Diego to my friends and intend to come back myself for another tandem jump with Merlin! more

First, the BAD news: the girl that was working the front desk (i can't remember her name but she had red hair), she was extremely rude to my party of 7. We had a situation where we wanted particular groups to jump on certain planes (5 on one plane, 2 on the next plane) but she would not accomidate our request. She said, ""You guys said it's okay for whoever to go on whichever plane."" Ummm... no, none of us remembered saying anything in regards to that. What's wrong w/ changing two people around? She was very rude, which upsetted my friend to tears. We were here for her sister's birthday...... no one wants to have a bad experience.\r \r The manager (Blake) tried to calm her down and he was very cooperative. He made the accomidations for us. Also, Steve, one of the jumpers, was great. He helped us feel relaxed and was really really down to earth. I jumped w/ Patrick and he was great too!\r \r After Blake accomidated our request, the girl w/ the red hair came over to apologize for being rude. \r \r We all had a great time. If it weren't for the girl w/ the red hair things would have been much more smoother.\r \r Oh by the way.... sky diving is AWESOME!!! It was my first experience. My advice: Just stay calm and trust the person you're jumping with (first timers do Tandem Jumps). Other than that, it's something you have to experience once in your lifetime! :) Pros: Manager, Instructors, view from the sky Cons: Girl w/ the red hair. more
