Skip's Auto Service rates all fives for me, I'd rate him higher if I could! 3/23/2011

You couldn't ask for any better than Skip's Auto Service. He's always been kind and trustworthy. As a single woman, it would be easy to get taken advantage of in this type of situation, but I've never had to worry about that with Skip, he is always honest, plus, he came highly recommended to me from everybody I know. Skip provides the best products, service, and everything lasts so you don't have to keep going in to have the same thing fixed. He tells you like it is too. If it needs fixing, then it needs it, he won't force you to do things you don't need done. He definitely knows what he's talking about, and he's always on top of things. Janet Duke more

Be careful when searching for auto repair and check pricing 12/15/2008

I would recommend calling around and checking prices beforehand. They offer a three year warranty that's pretty steep; basically you the customer are paying twice for the service which is rendered. I have a 2004 truck which needed a fuel pump, Skip's auto service wanted a $1,000 dollars to fix it. I took it to another shop and it wasn't even $4, 00 dollars. My friend had her dodge caravan repaired there and a starter was installed with a serpentine belt and the bill was $9, 00 dollars. Its outrages to charge these types of prices in today?s economy. The actual dealership is your best bet, and purchases your own parts or follows up by checking prices. I stringently will not recommend Skip's Auto Service for any one who needs to watch a buck or two. Always ask for a copy of the original parts invoice that?s untouched before paying your bill. Remember, they?ll always use dealer pricing but hardly ever install OEM parts. Get smart and wise up and shop around. They dealership will always give the correct amount of hours it takes to complete a job, and use that information when shopping at smaller shops for auto repair. Pros: I can't think of any Cons: They are ripp offs more
