This is going to be a long review so to summarize why I recommend you work with Melody: * Skilled esthetician (my skin loves her!) * Professional and sincere * Easygoing, great listener and friendly * No pressure/up selling * Works within your budget/schedule * Appreciative of your business When I moved to Orange County, I needed to find a new person to clean up my brows. I found good reviews about Melody so called her and was able to make an appointment the same day. She was very nice and professional on the phone so that was a great start. During my visit, Melody was very easy to work with. I have had some bad experiences in the past with brows being too thin or being burned by wax. Melody patiently listened to my concerns and did a great job! As others have mentioned, Melody will let you know what you need and not up sell you. Before I left, she mentioned that she could do a skin consultation for me if I were interested in the future. I had not really thought highly of facials after a bad experience post-college -- (see a trend here? :) . A year later, I was engaged and starting to plan for the wedding so I decided to do the consultation with Melody. She came up with a plan (including which products to use) that worked in my budget. Here are some unsolicited comments from my wedding vendors which should give you a very good idea of Melody's skill: * Wedding planner - after one microderm session, I saw my WP right after. She was surprised that I had just had a micro because my skin did not look irritated at all. * Makeup artist - I saw her for the practice session early in my treatments with Melody. When she saw me on my wedding day, she commented how my skin looked great/different! More recently, my younger sister worked with Melody for a couple of months while she was in CA for the summer. Between college stress and some bad Neutrogena product, my sister's skin had a major breakout in the last half of her freshman year (we're talking before pictures in the acne commercials - sorry Sis!). She heard me talk about Melody and I guess she thought my skin looked good ;) so she wanted to contact Melody. My sister wanted to pay for her own treatments so Melody again did a great job of working within her client's budget, timeline and needs. It was AMAZING the results Melody produced -- I think she surprised herself! :) My sister's skin has been doing great since she followed Melody's plan. One thing you should know is that Melody's place is no frills (aka, it's not a spa and it is located in a strip mall) but she is wonderful to work with and gets results. Rosi is the best hair stylist that I have ever used . I have been getting my hair cut and styled from Rosi for over 3 yrs now in Costa Mesa and I couldn't be more happy with the way I look. She is very friendly and extremely into detail and takes her time to make sure its exactly the way you want to look. I even get a reminder text message from her ( at my request) when its time for me to come in .. She has a wide variety of hair products for men and women at very resonable prices . Overall her rates are very affordable from cutting, coloring ,styling ... Once you see her talent you will never need to find anyone else again -- Jesse Horwitz more

I tried to dye my roots on my own and it was a disaster. Rosi Amarylis saved me and also added some highlights to my hair. She is a new addition to the team at Hair and Skin Technology but she has been in a hair artistry for 17 years and Sasson trained. I went to Skin Technology for the first time and enjoyed my facial treatment. My skin looked flawless and felt silky. I will be back in a few months to get another facial treatment. more

I have not had a facial in years. The last time (4 years ago) I went to get a facial I had a bad experience so I have not gone back since. A friend of mine recommended Skin Technology because she's been going to them for years and she said the girls are great and the so are the facials. I decided to give the facial thing one more shot. When I scheduled my appointment I mentioned to the girl I have sensitive skin and the last girl who did my facial at this other spa (who is no longer in business, go figure) was not gentle with my facial and she left lines from the machine on my face. The esthetician who did facial at Skin Technology was great. She asked me a few questions and took time to know what I was looking for in a facial and explained everything before she did my facial. What I really liked was she was very gentle and would ask me during the process ""is that okay?"" After my facial my face looked amazing and I had a fresh glowing look. I really enjoyed this facial and had no lines on my face or redness. I will be back again and I'm glad my friend recommended Skin Technology to me. Site says they are open till 7 and I called them last wk and they told me you can come before 6 and we can get in you. I called to setup appointment and they said 430 was the last massage they were giving and the site hrs didn't matter. Don't recommend. Very disappointed! more

This was the best facial I ever had in my entire life. Problem skin, you named I have, I went every where and i use every think on my face but no one could help me and satisfy my needs. I am writing this after a few treatments at skin technology and I truly truly see a difference in my skin condition. I recommend this place to everyone, if they could satisfy me and fix my problem they could do yours too. Mine was baaad. Products are amazingly and magical works. JUST LOVE IT more

I came to Skin Technology as a last resort for my acne. I had tried several methods to rid of it,, including what felt like every over the counter product. When I visited a laser institution, I felt that prodcedure would be too extreme, plus incredibly pricey. I went to Skin Technology, and met Melody. After a handful of visits,,,my skin was drastically better. As in, I wasnt breaking out anymore!!From there, Melody worked on scarring, and the overall health of my skin with the facials she was giving me. I was so happy that there really was a solution, and I could finally walk around without people staring at my face!!! Melody is absolutly fantastic. Unlike everyone else I visited, she truly wants to help you. She is kind, understanding, and very professional about her work. If there`s anything I regret, its not having come here the first time I heard about it. Her prices are very reasonable, and the products are just great, and of great quality!! THE MOST PLEASING FACIAL EVER. I am new in town and my friend who has been going to skin technology for many years refer me to this place. I am a very picky person when it comes to my face and very hard to please but by witnessing the improvements of my friend skin whenever I visited her, I decided to give this place a try. I tell you what, nobody ever could please me the way they did. Yesterday was my 3rd visit there and every time my skin gets better and better. They are very knowledgeable and prices are very reasonable. I tried so many different types of products but nothing seem to work but Melody knew exactly what to recommend to me and it works. I wouldn't trust just anyone to take care of my face. Melody is simply the best. She truly cares about your well being and you always leave feeling more relaxed than when you came in. Melody is extremely approachable, knowledgeable, and friendly. I was having breakout for several months, but after going to Skin Technology, my complexion is glowing and I always look forward to going back. I got the oxygen treatment after microdermabrasion with facial and it was fantastic. My skin feels, clean, soft, fresh and younger. All my blemishes was gone after the facial. The best microdermabrasion and facial I ever had, I have gone every where but skin tech is the best place. I trust Skin Technology to the core! They customize the specialized skin treatments and care specifically to the individual. Quality and customer satisfaction are their upmost mission goals. They will listen to your issues and provide solutions that will fit your needs with scientific precision. It is located close to the South Coast Plaza area so when your significant other is shopping, you can relax and enjoy the pampering (guys included)...or if you are the shopper, you can rejuvenate afterwards! I love the flexibility in their skin care with different kinds of options! I recommend Skin Technology whole-heartedly!....is that comment a little over the top?......well, I just wanted to express to the readers that I truly believe in this place. My sister and I got facial at this place and it was the best facial we have ever gotten. We are new in town and been looking for a place like this that they care. Both of us are facial addicts and we have been getting facials all our lifes and we can tell who does a good job and who doesn't. Skintechnology facials are fantastic and it would be our new spot for us to be at every month. After few treatments our skin got the result that we want, we also tried the products and it realy works and we love it.
