I came here to get my first set of contacts. The store and doctors seem like they are always pretty busy, so getting an appointment is always a good idea. I was running late for my appointment but it still only took about 5 minutes of waiting time. They also take walk-ins, but you will probably need to wait 30 minutes or more. It seems like they have a wide selection of designer glasses, but I didn't get a chance to peruse them yet. I believe there are 3 doctors here now; very friendly and got my prescription down quickly. One of the assistants there, patiently helped me while I struggled to put in and remove my contacts for a lot of attempts. more

Really good 8/8/2011

Was there several times to get my eyes looked at and my glasses ordered. The customer service was really good and Dr. Gareth was very friendly. They really helped me pick out a pair of glasses that looked good on my face, and they weren't that expensive. more

Great specials 8/4/2011

It's bad enough that I have been wearing glasses since I was 4 years old but , Dr. Valles and the staff make it seem like it's not a big deal. Sean is great with helping newbies learn how to wear contact lens and all the ladies help you select the eyeglasses of your dreams without looking like Sally Jesse Raphael. Great specials and designer frames to help you see where the hell you're going. more

Fashion accessory update 8/3/2011

A friend of mine needed glasses and knew the owner of this franchise. I wouldn't say that I need new glasses (and as it turns out, my prescription from 2 years ago remains the same), but I did want a fashion accessory update. And I don't know if you know this, but also - buying glasses is sort of like updating your personality. As it turns out, I am still sassy as I was two years ago, but slightly more feminine and less futuristic, a touch more fashionable and sunny. That is what my new glasses purchase says about me. more

I love this Site For Sore Eyes! Dr. Valles is just the best and the staff in the retail part of the store are very friendly and helpful. Am SO glad I quit making the trek into SF or Walnut Creek for my eye exams. If you are going in for an exam -- yes appointment is needed -- but I've never had to wait on the doc, and that is a huge plus when you have places to go and *pardon the pun* people to see. more

the service here was outstanding! To start off, the doctor was amicable and very funny. I left glasses strewn about the whole place in my disorganized indecision. Every so often, a sales associate would silently put something in front of me that was right up my alley. She and my useless friend with the dilated pupils took turns telling me what each pair would communicate to strangers about the kind of person I am deep inside. After all, these things go on my face and set me back $400 (which was a pretty good deal I guess) - in fact, these particular glasses actually MAKE me into a sophisticated yet fun loving girly girl who likes loud floral prints and also beer and getting dirty. more
