The foods are stored OLD foods…. When me and wife ate.. she vomited in the dining desk itself…. They have asked us to clean.. we were shouting at them.. also I told them… you are selling spoiled stored old food… and came out… Also, for proof… I have paid my bill and took for proof… I am going to food control of Chattanooga and complaint….\r \r After I came home, I also vomited. ?.. I will never go to that Sitar to buy sick for money.. Please AVOID.\r more

Today is the last time I will ever step into this restaurant.\r \r I had been a regular customer at this restaurant. The food is OK, but the service is terrible. The last two times I had gone there, I was a little under the weather, so I decided to order a to-go buffet. The first time I did, they didn't look too happy, and the waiter gave me instructions on how I was supposed to arrange my to-go buffet. He told me I had to ""mix"" and ""match"" what I took from the buffet line. First, I would never think of just taking one item from a buffet line, and second, why would it matter, anyway?\r \r I was also informed that they were going to charge me by the pound, and not by the regular to-go buffet price. By the pound?!? Where am I, at the post office?!?\r \r Today, I decided to stop in again for a to-go buffet, against my better judgement. When I asked for a to-go buffet, the waiter looked at me quizzically, and then he glanced at the buffet line. Then, he said, ""Sorry, sir, we are not doing to-go buffet, today."" What? What do you mean you are not doing to-go buffet, TODAY?!? Is it posted somewhere, is it your regular policy? Or are you just making up things as you go along?\r \r You would think that being a regular customer would warrant better customer service from a business. I guess not. Anyway, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. There are too many Indian restaurants in this area to take this kind of treatment. more

This is the restaurant I go to have a delicious meal and not spend high bucks. Their buffet is very good. Nice variety of indian dishes. The atmosphere in this restaurant is not romantic but it is a great place to meet with friends over lunch or to have a nice hot meal during your lunch hour. Lunch Buffet was typical North Indian style - was very tasty. Good quality & variety of food. \r Evening dinner was Okay. My personal preference would be more privacy and interior decor. Perhaps, a little more finesse on the part of waiters would help also. more

For the variety of the spicier south Indian dishes, come to Shalimar! The Management and servers are attentive and go out of their way to please. The variety is wider here than anywhere else in the city. There is the side benefit of the Shalimar store next door, from which is available all kinds of authentic Indian spices, pickles, fruit and grain ... the best of Indian rice and dahl. more
