Simpson's Family Mortuary

This was my first time planning a funeral for a love one. When i first called to get some information on their services, I spoke with Jim Ansley. He gave me a lot of good information. two hours later i got the call that my family member had passed, i immediately called Jim back and he advise me on the steps i need to take. Which saved me a thousand dollars. Since i was not in town he faxed the information i need to sign to release he body and the price sheet.\r I arrived in town that following Monday and spoke with him about what was required, he explained some imprortant things to me, such as contact the life insurance company (you need to contact the life insurance company as soon as you can, they take 3-5 days to process the paper work). Jim was professional with his deal with my elder Mother-in-law. Jim came to the chuch to facilitate. a lot of the aspect of the ceremony you wouldn't think about. He even came out to the grave site to facilitate that as well.\r I felt Jim and simpsons family did a great job in making a difficult situation run a lot less stressful then it could have been. the price was affordable as well. we had to pay for the funeral out of pocket, because of the insurance issues. I read the previous reviews about some of the less than professional actions of some of the staff and i didn't see that when i was there. I'm not saying it didn't happen, and i was looking for that since i had read the reviews before going there. I even told them about the reviews regarding the guys trying to pick up woman. They were not proud of those reviews. more

The service my family received for our sister was very good. This business has a heart. After we made our arrangements, we found out that we did not have the funds that we throught. Once we voiced our concerns to the staff, they went right to work helping us get the service we wanted within our budget. They truly gave us ""service with a smile"". We will recomend this business to others, and we will use them again when the need arises. more

I agree with what the young lady said about some of the staff ""preying"" on woman. when my grandmother passed away we respected her wishes to have simpsons family m. pick up her remains. when the guys ill never forget one of their names (Nitro) and i believe (kevin) it seems like they were focusing on looking at me and my (very young) sisters bottoms instead of doing what they came there for (pick up my grandmother) it really really upset me. we were very happy at the good work they did making my granny look her best for her funeral but to walk up to the funeral home and seen those very two men my anger started right back up. Some of the employess, ""prey"" on women.. flirting and what not.. It's easy to console someone when they're grieving.. But be careful of who you're doing it to, it may come back to haunt you. Pros: THEY GET THE JOB DONE Cons: Uprofessional @ times.. more
