Simply Irresistible Hair and Tanning Salon

I wanted to restyle my hair & when searched for salon nearby found this. Took an appointment. the stylist didn't listen to me for what i was asking for and made my hair look ugly. spray she use was gave a stink smell. But i paid amount of $150 for unsatisfied service. more

I first found this salon about 20 years ago and have loved it ever since. Debbie (the owner) is an incredible stylist and very personable as is the rest of her staff. I have since moved to Florida, where I have not been able to find a single person that knows how to give a decent haircut so I find myself back at Simply Irresistible twice a year when I fly home to visit family. There's no wonder why year after year, this salon ranks in the top as the area's best. more

I have been going to Debbie for years and I wouldn't go anywhere else! She does such a great job cutting and styling my hair. It always turns out so beautiful and I always look forward to going there each time.\r I just love her salon and her staff too. I am a fan/client of Simply Irresistible, and I have to say that this is the first and only salon that I have ever walked out of with my hair looking perfect every time! The days of re-styling my hair after getting home from my appointment are GONE! Debbie always chooses the right colors and cut for me (I usually just tell her to go ahead & do whatever she wants with my hair because I trust her that much!) . The rest of the staff is talented as well. I'll never go anywhere else! more

I have been a client of Debbies for over a decade as well. I have very, very difficult hair! Debbie has always done such a great job with my hair making me feel and look FABULOUS when I leave her salon. The girls there are all very friendly and professional! I just recently booked a style for my bridal showers and one of the stylists, Janette, was happy to come in one hour early! You would never find someone else to do that!! Debbie has been such a nice, caring stylist I wouldn't think of go anywhere else for my hair or my eyebrows!! I call Debbie my EYEBROW QUEEN.. I have gotten my makeup done by some of the best in NYC and NJ.. I have been told time and time again that I have the best eyebrow shape they have seen!! I have had my hair relaxed, colored, hi-lighted, low-lighted and everything in between. I recently had my hair done at Simply Irresistible by Debbie. I am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of hair that she used for the bonds. After I wash it, the hair snarls so badly that I have to break some of the hair off to get the knots out. I have used several different shampos, conditioners, oils and detangling sprays and nothing seems to work. After I brush it, within two hours parts of the hair looks like a rats nest. It is matted and tangled. I have had several different hair dressers look at the hair and they all concluded that it is very poor quality hair. I feel like the product is misrepresented. I was led to believe that this is the top of the line hair. This hair has been nothing but problematic to me and feels synthetic. I paid $1000 for the hair and the service and am extremely dissatisfied. I am also dissatisfied with Debbie's lack of customer service skills. I called to let her know how I couldn't even brush through the hair and said it was an emergency. I was pushed off on the assistant. I asked if I could speak with Debbie and I was told ""If Debbie has time"". I paid $1000 for my hair and she couldn't take time to look at what a mess it was. I felt like I was mistreated and brushed off and was forced to go to a new hair dresser who said the problem could not be fixed because the hair is of poor quality. The only way it could be fixed is to take the bonds out. I won't even pay Debbie or her assistant to take the bonds out. I would never again give that salon any of my business. more

I've been to so many different salons in the Latham/Albany area and it just seemed like no one really gave me what I wanted. I like my hair to be edgy and different and all of the other hair stylists I had been to always were plain and conservative. I was finally given an up-to-date and funky hair style with a color to match!! It's a vibrant red and so shiny and everyone loves my new cut!! Thank you, Janette!!! Pros: Awesome Color work!! I went to Simply Irresistible in Aug 2008 because of all the good reviews that I read about it. I had very long, medium brown hair and wanted a drastic change. I was thinking a totally different style or short, funky hair. \r \r I had a consultation and appointment with Debbie (I believe that is her name). I showed up excited, but left feeling only ok. My ""change"" ended up being a trim of a few inches and changing the color from chestnut brown (my natural color) to chocolate. \r \r At the end of the appointment, Debbie said to come back if I wanted a bigger change & implied that she wasn't comfortable changing someone's hair that she didn't know well as a client. I didn't go back. I'm not going to pay $150 + tip (for color/cut) for each trip until someone gets comfortable enough to give me what I ask for and want.\r \r So, the experience wasn't terrible. I didn't hate my hair, but I didn't love it either. I found the stylist I met with to be a bit timid. Pros: friendly, pleasant Cons: a bit scissor-shy more

I found Simply Irresistible Salon online and read many great things about it. Well, I decided to check it out and get my hair cut there. I was more than happy with my end result and I now have an updated hair style that I absolutely LOVE!! I've gotten so many compliments on it already and my hairstylist gave me some great suggestions on some color ideas!! I can't wait to try a new color. The staff there was also very friendly and they really know their trade. I'm really happy with the results and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new style. Pros: Everyone there really seems to know what they are doing and that makes you feel comfortable Cons: It might take a little time to get an appointment but it's not too bad. more

This is the best salon I've ever been to! It's definitely the area's best kept secret, because they don't advertise much, but they don't need to! They are so busy because the hairstylists there are so incredibly talented. The girls there keep up on their training and travel all over the place to stay up on the latest trends and styles. Well let me start by saying that I?m over 50 and that in my time I have been in many hair salons and i can honestly say that this one is best one by far.. \r There are many reasons on why I do think this is the one... first, the atmosphere is very relaxing they do make you feel very comfortable, they never pressure you on buying any of the many product that the salon sells , the smiles are beautiful the girls are all gorges and friendly with everyone even with on old man like me :) But the most important thing for me is that the girls all know how to do their jobs... not like some of the salons I been too where once I would get home I would have to re-cut my own hair to make presentable, now those days are long gone..\r I recommend this hair salon to any body that wants a good hair cut in a beautiful clean and respectable place. Plus I think Debbie the owner is terrific lady ....and boy is she beautiful!!! \r Now I actually look forward on getting my hair cut! Pros: great sevice more

Simply Irresistible is great. Some upscale salons are stuffy and unfriendly, not this one. Debbie and everyone else at Simply Irresistible makes you feel so comfortable and special. With all the combined years of experience of everyone there, you are certain to walk out of the salon with a great cut, color and style no matter who was working on you. My husband and I have been going there for years and will continue to do so as well as spread the word of what a good job they do at this salon. Pros: Great hair cuts, color and style, nice friendly people. Cons: Sometimes you have to book way in advance to get the stylist you want, but it's worth the wait. more

Debbie actually saved my hair! When I went to Simply Irresistible Salon, I met and spoke to Debbie. I was in tears. My hair was ruined from coloring and perms by stylist(s) at other area salons. My hair was like bristles on a broom stick, that is how dried up and damaged it was. Debbie began our consultation and explained what was wrong and how to get my hair back to the good health and condition it was once in. It was Debbie's knowledge and confidence that won me over and we immediately began a treatment regime, and within a month my hair was beautiful again. I am proud to say , that to this very day, my hair still is beautiful and healthy. On occasion I have had the opportunity to be serviced by Shannon and other members of Debbie's staff and they ALL do a wonderful job. I also am a client of Diane who keeps my nails in beautiful condition. My husband is also a client at Simply Irresistible Salon- I guess you can say we're a SIMPLY IRRESISTIBLE SALON FAMILY. We recommend Debbie and her staff highly. They are well trained in their field, they are knowledgeable and lots of fun to spend time with. \r more

I am an addicted Hair Extension wearer! Once you are hooked you are hooked for life!! It's not that I don't have my own hair, but it is very fine and straight. The extensions add volume, length and thickness! Here is the catch, people may say they can do extensions but there is a science and Debbie at Simply Irrisistible is a master at her craft!!! She only uses the top of line extension company, she really listens to your needs, what look you are going for and creates magic to your own existing hair! What is also so great is your own hair maintains it's healthiness and strength. The extensions help and protect from daily washing, drying and heat (blowdrying, flat ironing, curling.) I highly recommend the salon for all your hair needs. They are by far #1 in the region for Updo styles for weddings, proms and special occasions. Pros: They are the Pros! I actually found this salon on this site and am very pleased with my experience. From the moment I walked into the salon, I could feel the energy and warmth from everyone. I was able to tell the stylist exactly what I wanted and left feeling very confident and happy with the results. I am finally happy and love my hair!! The staff at this salon really seem to know what they are doing. They constantly go and get trained for the newest and latest things. They do hair extensions and hair replacement, too, which I don't need but I was impressed with! They are a Locks of Love participating salon, which means that they donate hair to make wigs for children with cancer. This is the first time I actually love my hair!!! It's healthy and shiny... they taught me how to take care of it and what products to use and how to use them. It's the color that I have always wanted and I've had a couple of different haircuts that are updated and stylish!! They're great at recommending what types of styles would look good on ME!! I would highly recommend them to anyone... even the people who have stopped me to tell me how much they love my hair! Pros: The stylists are very creative and constantly go for training classes., Convenient Location, Quality work Cons: I wish they could come to my house every morning to do my hair before work!! more
