Great local shoe store 11/13/2006

I recently moved to the area around coolidge corner and was delighted to find al the great shops and restaurants within walking distance. I went to Simons with my girlfriend and we each left with a brand new pair of Pumas. My girlfriend raved about the selection of women's shoes available and I enjoyed the selection of men's dress shoes. If you live in the area and are looking for a good shoe store, definitely chek this place out, it's great, and the staff was very polite and appropriate, not overly pressuring or snooty. Pros: Location, Selection, Staff Cons: Parking is tough more

snobby staff 10/17/2006

I went into Simons today to try on a pair of Indigo shoes, which did not fit. So I left them in clear sight next to the chair I sat on and left the store along with my four-months-old. Minutes later I was chased down outside by the woman who ""helped"" me in the store, asking me how the shoes worked out... startled I told her they were too big. She then proceded with ""Are you sure they aren't in your stroller?"". She turned around after she appearantly believed me that I did not take them. Bugged out to be taken for a shoplifter I went back to make sure she had found them. An apology would have been nice, but instead I just got a dirty look. So if you care about service, this is the wrong address. more

  • When we first opened our doors, horse-and-buggy was the travel standard and shoes were little more than leather and wood, meant to protect feet from cobblestone streets. Today we’ve got hybrid vehicles and shoes that feature soles made from high-impact, shock absorbing materials with customizable interiors for an individual fit. At Simons Shoes, we provide the expertise, knowledge and customer service of more than 100-years of helping people people find shoes that look good and feel great
