Healthier alternative 2/28/2006

Silver Greens is a good alternative to other places to eat in IV and on the UCSB campus. It has to be healthier than getting gigantic nachos from Freebirds across the street. They serve soups, salads and sandwiches among other things. It's a convenient place to stop by on the way home from class to pick something up to eat or eat there, or you can call in your order and have it delivered. Their sandwiches are the best and served on fresh baked bread and the best part.. your meal comes with a chocolate chip cookie. more

Ok but nothing really special 9/18/2005

Considering that all food in IV is generally horrible, this place deserves a positive review. The food is reasonably healthy and priced but there is nothing that will really knock you off your feet. I've eaten there 2 or 3 times and always find the food just to be ok, which is good for iv. more

Silvergreens is Great 8/9/2005

Silvergreens is one of the only places in Isla Vista to get a a healthy meal. They offer a wide variety of soups, sandwiches and pastas for very low prices. Theie service is great, the food even better. They offer indoor and outdoor dining, and they are open late enough for most students to grab dinner on their way home from classes. Some students may complain that they're not open 24 hours like many of the other food establishments in Isla Vista, but the hours are acceptable by most standards. more

Best Dinning in Isla Vista 7/25/2005

Silvergreens is a healthy alternative to the numerous amounts of Mexcian and TexMex offerings in Isla Vista. It is also probably the best dinning in the town - which really does not mean much in the bigger scheme of Santa Barbara. They have pasta specials every Tuesday and Thursday, and a rotating menu of weekly specials (usually items with a $1 discount of the regular price). The food is a tad bit underflavored, but their salads are amazing. Each order comes with a little treat - sandwhiches with a cookie, salads with a bread, pasta with garlic bread, etc. Overall, a good value and a good place to eat. more
