My disabled mother in law came to visit and parked in the wrong spot. One of the Silverado Garden Apartments maintenance workers taped a huge sign to her vehicle and then vandalized it with a razorblade. Makes one have a second thought about living here, huh? more

ok well lets see the first thing that i thought was nice was all the big open windows it has being in a corner unit but once winter came there was always a bad draft like a window was open. I don't really like the sliding glass doors i don't feel safe and feel like im in a display window for everyone to watch if my blinds werent closed. i like the management and thought Stephanie was very kind and the workers and handy men were very friendly and always helpful. Being an old building when i first viewed my apt the only closet was in the bathroom but they built another one in the bedroom which was great but shortens the length of my living room which is hard because they are already pretty small to begin with. 2 parkings spots is great and the storage room is huge but my lock was cut within the first 6 months of living here. luckily i hadn't stored anything yet. living right off of silverado trail is very convenient and the restaurant across the street, Guadalajara is fabulous but you can hear all the cars and loud trucks all the time through all those windows. living upstairs i get complaints from the neighbor below about being loud. the back side of the apts are nice tho with this little park hidden behind them and the river that runs next to it. has a very nice secret pool with the ivy surrounding it but they charge an additional $15 for a pool key! arent pools included in apts and since when does a key cost 15 to make a copy! only thing that i thought was really bizzarre besides the glass doors that is. every apartment has ups and downs. if anyone ever finds a perfect one let me know. :) Pros: nice management and handy mans, earthy, Cons: sliding glass FRONT doors, pretty small older complex more

Safe, quiet, affordable with great staff and many trees 8/24/2008

I have lived here for 7 years and I love the environment. Besides the apartments (Studio, 1 BED, 2 BED) there are also 3 houses on the site. It was built in 1954 so there is no dishwasher (besides yourself) and no A/C. The first review was written by a close neighbor and I agree with everything she says. She is also a great neighbor. I moved out of a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo when my children left the nest to live here. I wanted a cozy little place just for me. If you are Danish then this place is HYGGE. There is lots of nature here. Trees, lawns, birds and squirrels. I even saw a possum one night who had wandered up from the Napa River. The people are a good mix of young and older which I like. The noisy neightbor from New York just left and we now have a winemaker and his wife and infant. I'm from San Francisco orignally and I like the feel of the place. Not small town nosy neighbors but there when you need them and friendly. The staff is very competent and polite which reflects positively on the owner. They even called me on vacation in Indiana when a pipe burst several years ago. Safe affordable housing is one of my main concerns as a Social Work Supervisor and I am thankful that I have found it for myself here. There is a nice pool and it is invisible due to the ivy covering the fence around it. I have 2 parking spots, one covered for my camper van and one in front of my place. I also have a storage unit where I keep all my camping supplies. These units are perfect for someone starting out or downsizing who do not want/need alot of square footage. I redecorated with IKEA products because I am a Scandinavian and love good design that has multiple uses. If I moved away I would definitely come back. Pros: Safe Affordable Great Environment more

Nice, quiet, safe, affordable apartment in Napa 7/6/2008

I've lived here for almost 2 years. This place is awesome! It's surrounded by trees and flowers and they recently paved the street so it's super smooth. The management is so nice. Stephanie, who's in the office, was so nice to my boyfriend and I when we first came. Our income didn't quiet meet their requirements so they dropped the deposit down for us. We could afford rent and everything, but the deposit was a little high. The apartments are a little small (400-450 sq ft for 1 bd/1 bath) but we made it work. Rent is $875/month for 1 bd/1bath and they pay for water and garbage. If ever something broke the maintenance guy would be there right away. Lately they have been busy because of the repaving so one of our calls wasn't answered. But 99% of the time they will come and fix whatever needs fixing. Pros: Clean, quiet, safe, affordable Cons: little guest parking, no A/C, units are a little small, old complex more
