FOR MS SEPTMBERM'S INFORMATION, MANY CARS NOW COME WITH ALLOY WHEELS MAKING IT VERY EASY TO INSPECT THE BRAKES WITHOUT PULLING THE THEM OFF. WE DID NOT TELL HER SHE NEEDED BRAKES. WE DID TELL HEAR THAT THE FRONT BRAKES WERE ABOUT 70% WORN AND THAT SHE WOULD NEED BRAKE WORK IN THE NEAR FUTURE. SOME POEPLE APPRECIATE KNOWING ABOUT UP COMING NEEDED REPAIRS SO AS TO AVOID BREAKDOWNS ON THE ROAD. OTHERS JUST THINK YOUR RIPPING THEM OFF. Honest Repair Shop 12/15/2010

I am a female who has been extremely pleased with the integrity and honesty of Silver Spring Auto for the past 5 years. They have worked on 2 of my cars and on my daughter's car. My sister now goes to Silver Spring Auto for her car repairs too. The same employees have worked there the whole time, as well. They have always treated me with respect. I wouldn't think of going elsewhere. more

Honest Repair Shop! 12/14/2010

I am a female who has used Silver Spring Automotive for the past 5 years and have experienced honesty and integrity every time. I had always been skeptical of auto repair shops. However, I was referred to Silver Spring Auto by a friend and have taken 2 of my cars there over the years and my daughter's car. My sister now takes her car car there too. It is easily accessible off of Silver Spring Drive on Green Bay Ave. If I need repairs, I drop off my car and rent a car from Enterprise Rental Car down the street where Silver Spring Auto has a special rate for their customers. I wouldn't think of going elsewhere. more

Unsatisfactory visit... 2/16/2010

I am a female and new resident of Milwaukee. I was very disappointed with the lack of integrity I experienced from this shop. I went in for a complimentary oil change and this shop attempted to sell me new brakes and a list of other unnecessary replacements. The best part is that they spoke to me in a manner as if I didn't know anything about my car...maybe because I am female? First of all, forgive me for saying this as a "female" but I believe checking brakes requires removing the tires from the automobile. Correct? Interestingly I watched my oil change from the bay door window and tires were never removed from my car. Maybe this shop should reconsider replacing their brake pad psychic. My first and last visit. more

Disappointing experience 2/16/2010

My first visit was for a complimentary oil change and will be my last visit. Shop attempted to inform me that I needed brakes replaced and did not respond well when I advised them I did not need brake work. What they didn't realize is that I sat in front of the bay door to watch the work completed on my vehicle and noticed that they never removed the tires from my car. I think removing the tires kind of goes hand in hand with looking at the brakes, guys. Pros: Complimentary oil change Cons: Marketing uncessary repairs more

This is the best car repair shop I have ever been to. Rick, the manager is a very helpful and honest person. I would highly recommend this business to anyone! more
