I brought my 99 civic in for tires and let them talk me into one of their synthetic oil change deals.Everything was fine until the next morning when i found about 2 quarts of oil ...

David and Tony were very helpful in providing a second opinion (versus dealer) in a timely manner. Silver City Tire does excellent work, and I know my vehicle is safe to drive. They don't do unneccesary work, and costs are reasonable. more

rated a three, because the product that was purchased (dynomax muffler) did not sound as i and the staff expected.. However great staffing told me to bring it back and would look into removing a resignator to aquire the sound that was desired. more

Another great experience at Silver City today. They are consistently honest, friendly, and have fair prices. This is one of the few places I feel comfortable calling and setting up an appointment by myself as a female, they don't try to take advantage of the fact that I don't really know what I'm talking about with cars. It is the type of place that restores faith in the Auto Service industry. Also sometimes there's an adorable little black dog there that sits under the front desk... and who doesn't want to pet a dog while their waiting for their car to be done! All in all fast, fair, and reliable. Thanks Silver City! more

THEY found it 10/25/2011

I took my Trailblazer to 2 shops because i had a clunking and roaring noise...they could find nothing wrong. Last week I was talking to a friend of mine who lives in Oneida and she said take to Dave at Silver City. I didn't even know who he was or where it was. I live in Rome. I took to him and he drove it and parked it ion the shop. Fifteen minutes later he told me the problem, gave me an estimate, and said it could be done while I wait if I had a couple of hours, or have it done anywhere, but it needed to be done soon. I got it done there. It took the full two hours, but the price was lower than the estimate. The clunking and roaring is gone! Driving in peace! Pros: null Cons: null more

i called silver city and got a price on snow tires for my toyota sienna - they had they best price, and said "come in anytime we should have your tires on in about 45 minutes" - well i was skeptical of the time factor, but the price was 90 dollars lower than the nearest quote, so i went in at 2:30 and my van was done at 3:09! they said my old tires still had enough tread for next summer, so i kept them and they reminded me that my inspection was gooing to be due in december. they were very nice! best service ever :) thanks guys Pros: null Cons: null more

A Biz who ranks Honesty higher than their bottom $ 5/3/2011

Last spring my normal tire place had me convinced I needed 4 new tires on my car asap as a safty issue however I did not have the money that day to have them order them & thank god I didnt cause after taking my car in for yearly inspection at Silver City the following week and bringing it to their attention that I would need tires too., Dave L who owns the place told me NO U dont need tires why do u want new tires? I then told him my story about what the garage on the North Side told me & he just grined and shook his head. I knew then that the place I was loyal to because it was a family biz was trying to scam me. :( Dave said my tires were fine & should get me through another season cause I change over to winter ones in fall & he was right. :) I was happy this week when I went in to Silver City and ordered that new set for my car. Yup the honesty I was given got my biz! more

Not Happy 4/22/2009

I went to Silver City Tire today to have my tires changed over. I am not happy with the service or the way I was treated by the man that works at the desk. I will never bring any of my vehicles to this place of business again. They not only charged an astronomical price for their services. They chewed up my rims on my car. When I pointed this out, he told me they were like that when I brought it in. It looks like they took grease and rubbed it in the cut marks on my rims. He was very rude?It upsets me that my husband is overseas fighting for this man?s freedom? Pros: None Cons: Rude and Shoddy work more
