Called me because they were out of the type of Sparkling Water I ordered on the phone app. Order didn't come with rice. When I called they said dinners did not with rice yet the phone app doesn't mention that. They said they were sorry and that was that. I won't be ordering from Silk Thai Cuisine again and I am sorry about that. more

I placed a order of combination fried rice for delivery, person who took my order was polite and very Knowledgeable but was difficult to understand due to her accent. She told me my order would be 30-45 min, actually took 75min. When the food got here was cold, no condiments, also delivery driver did not have change for a $20, she had to go get change. When i called to complain about my experience, the only good thing was that the person i was talking to by the name of Sarah who answered the phone was polite and Apologetic and asked if their was something she could do to make it right, which she did and made me think about ordering again from this restaurant. more

Best Thai in LA 6/23/2010

I've always loved Thai food but Silk Thai is unlike any other - after discovering it about a year and half ago I'm not happy eating Thai anywhere else. The pad see ew with beef is by far the best I've ever had, and the pad thai with chicken is also high on the list. If you are there in the summer definitely order the mango with sticky rice (it is seasonal) - for some reason the Thai mangoes are just that much better than the regular version. The owner Sarah is incredibly nice and treats her regulars very well. Pros: great food, great service, incredibly nice and social owner Cons: not open late or on sundays more

A bug in my food. 5/14/2010

I wouldn't give it even a star after my experience today, but I can't publish this unless I do. I ate at Silk Thai Cuisine for my second time today. And this time is definitely my last. I didn't like the food there much in the first place, but I felt like fresh vegetables. What I got was a fresh fly. The worst part was I didn't see it until I was done with my plate. I went back and showed the employees the evidence, they were ""sorry"", said it was a vegetable fly and refunded my money. I just hope that I'm okay and I didn't eat anything I shouldn't have - and that it doesn't happen to anyone else. Good luck if you plan on eating there. Cons: unwashed vegetables? more

Great Thai, Sometimes cramped, but always delicious. 2/2/2008

Always met by first name at the door, the people at Silk always treat me well, and I expect the same for anyone else. A bit small, and busy during the lunch hour, the place is nigh-vacant other times of the day, and worth sneaking in around 3:00 p.m. The food is excellent, and the service is always top notch. The lunch specials are great, and they have all kinds of Thai food to fit your taste. Pros: Food, Service, Water glass filled every 13 seconds. Cons: Street parking can be rough, A little cramped. more

Great Food in a Small Place 10/16/2006

I am incredibly pleased this place opened near my work. While options nearby are limited, Silk has time and time again presented fantastic food at reasonable prices. This is easily the best Thai food I've had in the Los Angeles area and worth checking out. Pros: Incredible Food, Prompt Service Cons: Parking, Can Get Hot During the Day more
