Sigona's Farmers Market is juicy and fresh! 8/6/2009

I find Sigona's to be a little on the pricey side, but usually worth it. There fruit and veggies are soooo good; they are fresh, huge, and juicy. The parking is not that great, but that depends on the time of day you go. more

Great gormet foods and fresh fruit 2/4/2009

I go to Sigona's Farmers Market regularly to pick up the freshest fruits and vegetables with my family. They also have a great selection of dried fruits and nuts. My favorites are the chili lemon pistachios and the dried spicy mangoes. more

My Favorite Store 6/1/2008

Some people like to hang out in malls or shop for clothes or go to the superstores. I'm not a shopoholic, but I love going to Sigona's in Redwood City. The fresh produce is top quality and not overpriced. Since discovering Sigona's, I have learned to try fruits and vegetables new to my experience and to prepare them in new ways. Knowing where the produce was grown is also important to me because where possible I like to support the local farmers. more

Fresh Produce 3/19/2008

This place has a farmer's market feel. They have a variety of different fruit and vegetables even some that you're not accustom to. Very fresh produce! The prices are comparable and much better than the pricey whole foods. I love the specialty foods that they carry and everything is very clean. Great fresh breads, dried fruits by the bulk, jams and excellent variety of cheeses. Don't forget the a floral section and have added a wine selection. more

The best place for fresh produce 5/9/2006

Whether it's fruit or vegatables, regular or organic, Sigonas is worth the trip. My kids love to go and taste all the fruit samples, and in the summer it's quite a nice place to go and shop. They also have a fantastic floral section at a fraction of the price of any local florist. PROS: Great produce and flowers and low prices CONS: None. more

Always the Best of the Season 5/1/2006

I make a special trip to buy my produce from Sigona's, instead of from the grocery store. This location offers the friendliest, most knowledgable staff as well as the best of whatever is in season. I love the free samples, so I can convince my kids to try something new (or not)! The selection is extensive, and the price is reasonable. I like this location (Redwood City) better than the Palo Alto location (in the Stanford Shopping Center). more

Excellent selection, prices, like a mini-flea market 7/23/2005

I miss the flea markets from the small farm town I grew up in. Here's the closest thing you'll find to that in the city! It is fairly small, taking up two small streets, but lots of vendor selections. I'd say about 20 vendors, or so. Any vegetables you think you might need will be found here and very, very cheap. I spent about 12 bucks and I have more than enough veggies for two for a week! There are also other vendors, fruit, clothing, honey, etc. Very cool place. Parking is pretty easy - bring a quarter for one hour. PROS: Big selection, low prices CONS: no cons more

Great Family Owned Business 7/14/2005

Sigona's has been around for years in Redwood City and is owned by a local group of brothers. The store is basically an overgrown fruit stand, but has everything from specialty cheeses, to frozen goods, to gourmet chocolates, sauces, teas, etc. It's one of those great places to shop when you want an intimate atmosphere, combined with the personal attention and care you can receive when shopping somewhere that isn't a huge corporation. I've often had them special order items for me with no problem. I also love the fact that they support local businesses and carry a number of products from small, local producers. more
