Avoid this place like the plague. I went on a Friday night at 7:00 and was the only customer - that should have tipped me off. Pros: Tasty Calamari Cons: Everything else

We had a lovely meal in very pleasant surroundings. The food was perfectly prepared and presented beautifully. The staff was very attentive, and the soft shelled crab was especially delicious. more

BEST!!! Staff, Food, Atmosphere, EVERYTHING! 2/4/2011

BEST THAI FOOD WE'VE EVER HAD!!! The food is exquisite! Everything is cooked to perfection! No salt, pepper, sugar, etc. needed here! All of the ingredients taste as if they were grown in heaven! Everything is so fresh and taste extremely good! The food literally melts in your mouth as you eat it! When you walk in you are instantly greeted with the hostess/waitress. She had the friendliest attitude! Was a pleasure to have instead of a waitress that you just wanted to go away... I have had the same entree each time I go simply because it is just so good. Something you get cravings for that no one else can make like it. This time my husband and I got the Calamari because we herd that it was so good. Boy was everyone right! It is not at all like the typical fried calamari w/marinara sauce! It has the Thai flavor and cooked perfectly! Not rubbery like some places make it! For the price it was the perfect amount to start off with! To drink we had the Thai tea which is amazing! Very authentic flavor, definitely not the ""add water"" package type that I've had at some restaurants! For our main course I had the Massaman Chicken Curry and my husband had the House Fried Rice with Chicken. Each entree was cooked to perfection! In my entree were onions, potatoes, and cashews. Everything cooked to the perfect texture. And the TASTE!!! Oh sooooo good! And not spicy at all! My husband said that that was THE BEST fried rice he has ever had. He is usually more for Chinese person instead of Thai, but this one won over all! The rice is not left hard and crunchy like some restaurants. It was full of flavor and wonderful ingredients! When you took a bite all the flavors would come together and melt in your mouth! For desert we had Banana Fritters with Coconut Ice Cream! Again! Everything cooked to perfection! That word is mild compared to how good everything was! I could go on forever, but it's making me hungry again! Just go for yourself and try it out! If we ever move out of Smyrna, best believe that we WILL make the drive out here! No distance is too far for this exquisite meal! more

Best Thai in ATL PERIOD!! 11/5/2010

Ive dined at Siam Square on several occasions now. Both for lunch and dinner. Yes, lunch has more traffic but that does not take away from the array of options or quality of food from the dinner menu. As mentioned in previous posts the calamari is AMAZING. Ive specially ordered it at lunch and dinner. EVERYONE should try it!! The curry is superbly full of flavor. with my first visit I chose the soft shell crab mango and spicy cilantro sauce. SPOILER the cilantro is NOT SPICY its and herb yet delicious. I would recommend this place to ANYONE who is a Thai novice, intermediate, or advanced. Lunch is busier than dinner but don't let that throw you off to the quality and flavor. Its amazing, more

Great Food 7/18/2010

To the last poster, Basil rolls and spring rolls are two different things. They are both on the menu. Spring rolls are fried and skinny unlike basil rolls. That was your error. Pros: Pad Ke Mao/Calamari Cons: A little pricey more

Siam - Avoid like the plague 5/8/2010

My Favorite Thai Restaurant 11/2/2009

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the Atlanta metro area... maybe of any that I've tried anywhere. The Spicy Basil is my favorite. My mouth waters all the way to the restaurant when I think of the flavor. I like that the decor is more modern and hip than the usual elephants and statues at most Thai places... as is the music. The owner and staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make our meal enjoyable. It is always our restaurant of choice to celebrate birthdays or other special occaisions. Pros: Nice atmosphere, great food Cons: too far from my house more

Tried them for takeout Pad Thai 6/4/2009

I decided to try this place for dinner take-out and all was fine until I got home with the meal, and noticed that there was no shrimp in my shrimp rolls and the chicken in my Pad Thai was overcooked. That being said, the flavors were good, and I will give them another try. Pros: Nice Decor, Fast & Friendly Service Cons: Chicken in the Pad Thai was overcooked & got the wrong rolls more

Hidden Gem 11/29/2008

The atmosphere itself will make you forget you are in Smyrna! It has a beautiful natural yet modern vibe to it. Everytime we've visited the food has been exquisite. I'm a big fan of the pad thai with shrimp and the basil rolls. My husband loves the masaman curry and we both can't get enough of the thai iced tea. more

Best Thai food in Georgia!! 9/10/2008

Siam Square is amazing!! The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is charming, the service is superb. We used to live close and have now moved to Roswell. Siam Square makes us get in the car and make the drive. It is worth the drive (and we drive at least once a week) for the amazing food. The calamari is one of our favorites and it is by far the best. We have not found calamari anywhere that compares. Chanya the owner has truly brought a piece of Bankok to Smyrna. Pros: food is authentic and outstanding; service is excellent more

Great food, staff, and atmosphere! 9/10/2008

Siam Square is the best all around Thai restaurant I've ever tried. more

Best Found Secret 8/22/2008

SIam Square offers Thai food that is truly tasty and unique in a quiet corner of Smyrna. Jennifer Kornahrens took me there for many years and I have yet to find a nicer Thai restaurant with a nicer staff. Good service, good food...all around excellent. Pros: Nice art more

Great atmosphere, great food 3/22/2008

This is one of our regular Thai restaurants, and we eat here at least once every other week. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is great. You get the feeling it should be in midtown rather than in Smyrna. The food is always great. This is the best calimari I've ever had. I'm also a big fan of the Siam Square curry. more

Good food and service 2/8/2008

I receive coupons in the mail frequently for restaurants. I try to use a few of them to save money since I enjoy eating out so much. I've recieved coupons for Siam Square on Windy Hill Road before, but we never seem to make it up there. I am glad we finally did! The dining room is very modern with Thai influences. The restaurant is named after Siam Square, the ""Times Square"" of Thailand. A large photo of Siam Square hangs on the back wall of the restaurnt. Reds and gold accent throughout. On a Friday night, there were only 5-6 tables seated although more came in as the meal progressed. In talking with several friends that work in the area, it's very much a ""lunch place."" My dining companion opted for hot tea while I had iced tea. Both were very good, with a hint of a spice we could not identify. We got the fried tofu with plum sauce as an appetizer, quite good. I love tofu in almost any form. The outside was fried crispy with a soft inside. My companion had a curry dish for his entree and enjoyed it. He did not say much else about it. The steamed, sticky rice was good. I had the pad thai with chicken and tofu, which is my usual dish when eating out for Thai since I do not like curry or spicy food. The noodles, sauce, tofu, and vegetables were excellent. The sauce was not as sweet as normal, which I liked. My only complaint was that the chicken was a bit chewy. The homemade tea ice cream for dessert was average. Portion sizes were large but not unreasonable. We did not take any leftovers home. The service was very attentive; we were never lacking for anything. The courses were paced well, and the chef/owner came out to see how our meal was and to make sure everything was ok. Pros: Easy Parking, Convenient, Good Food, Good Service, Lots of Tofu Dishes Cons: Dessert more

Inconsistent Thai 7/5/2007

I have gone to this place every week for the past year and I was really enjoyed my meal. However, the last 3 times I was there, they either got my order wrong, took forever to wait on me, or the food was not good. It seems that they may have different chefs, because they prepare the dishes differently depending on the day. One day there may be onions and broccoli and cabbage and baby corn in the dish and the next time, there may only be broccoli. I usually go here during lunch, but I have decided to give them a break because the last time I was there service was so SLOW. I was there, watched 3 parties come in after I did and all of them ordered before me. One actually got their food before I got the chance to order., so it frustrated me. There is a possibility that if you go here, the food will be good, but right now, there are on my x list. Pros: Prompt seating Cons: Inconsistent food quality more

Absolute Best Thai! 6/26/2007

Siam Square was my first Thai experience and I keep coming back! I've tried many other thai restaurants and nothing ever holds a candle to this place. The service is always very warm and friedly. The owner Chanya Than is always there talking to customers and and making sure everthing is running smoothly. No matter how long it has been between vists she always recognizes us and talks with us like old friends! An added bonus to the sophisticated atmosphere and excellent food is eclectic thai jewerly she sells right there by the bar. The absolute best dish is the Siam square Curry which is, potatoes and chicken in a yellow curry sauce, served with a small dish of cucumber, onion and a sweet honey vinegar! A dish you won't find anywhere else! I believe I have tried most everything on the menu and have yet to find something I don't love. Once you try Siam Square you won't eat thai anywhere else! Pros: Ambience, food, service, authenticity Cons: location more

Blessed occurance 12/7/2006

Excellent service, perfectly authentic Thai. All around a blessed event. We had lunch there and looking at the decor I'd think it's even nicer at night due to fewer distractions. If you are ANYWHERE near Smyrna (North west of Atlanta) This is an awesome place. If not then it's 100% worth the drive. Pros: Both Thumbs Up and big toes too! Cons: Slightly limited parking out front but more available within a very short walk. more

Best Thai restaurant 11/17/2006

Perfect flavor. Perfect service. Friendly people. more

Best thai in the whole metro Atlanta area 11/12/2006

I've been to several Atlanta thai restaurants and Siam Square has it all. more

Nice clean quick service and good food 6/17/2006

Good quiet place (though music little loud). Easy parking. Food is good. Service polite. Place is clean. Rice bowl was very small but server was very polite in continuing to remind me that more was available if I want it. Try the duck in peanut sauce. Other than the skin, whole dish was good. Overall - 8 out of 10 rating. Pros: Clean, polite Cons: loud music. small place. more
