Siam Pad Thai

My three year old, and my husband and I come here for dinners whenever we get the chance. I am more likely to try different things on the menu--like the ladna, thom yum gai soup, sushi, mixed vegetables w/tofu or chicken--and I can say w/o a doubt that it's all been super good! I crave the pad thai but I like the variety on the menu. Everything comes out tasting fresh, hot, and hits the spot! They do a great job helping me get my little one accommodated--like bringing out a cup w/a lid and straw when I forget one from home. The wait staff is always very friendly and greets us right away. The place is cozy, but there's a bigger room for seating bigger groups. We sat there once and it feels a lot spacious. For us though, even the coziness lends to the place's charm. We feel welcome and at home here. My husband routinely orders chicken pad thai, extra spicy, and we order tempura chicken and shrimp for my 3 year old. Even though she's a picky-eater she gobbles it up whenever we go! more

Having dined in several times, I can say with confidence that their food is delicious and beautifully presented. My family has had several of their entrees, fried rice dishes, pad thai dishes, sushi rolls and platters, and appetizers. We have never been disappointed. The atmosphere isn't much to speak of, but their customer service is excellent also. 5 stars. (And I should note that we don't like just any food but good food.) The worst Thai food in Dayton! The service is awful, and the food is amateur (I swear they must use a microwave) I cook better Thai food! We went to Siam Pad for dinner and I ordered an appetizer (can you say: burnt Beef Jerky?) and the entrees where poorly prepared. My embarrassment was suggesting to one of my guests to order this one particular dish I had ordered before, and when our entrees arrived I asked the ""waitress"" if they had perhaps changed chefs because the dish did not have the same appearance as before. Her answer was no and the dish has always been prepared like that. Even though I knew better - - I let it slide, but when we tasted the ""thing"" - - it was burnt and absolutely inedible - we sent the two dishes back untouched. We did not even get a: ""I am sorry"" and we paid the full bill. We will NEVER return - - they should shut that place down! If you want Thai food in Dayton stick with either Thai9 or the Lotus Flower. Cons: Service and food more
