I have gone into this shop once before and wasn't impressed then, when as a new, younger knitter I was looking for a little help and needles. I know this isn't a teaching class but the owner was not helpful and a little condescending. \r

Yesterday I went in to get a 12 inch circular needle(Michaels and AC Moore don't have 12 inch circulars) to help me make baby hats a little more easier than having to use DPNs. Another lady was there helping out while the owner was away and she was helpful and encouraging. I bought a size 2 and went home and started to make a baby hat only to realize that I should have bought bigger size. So, not even 24 hours later and went back to see if I could just EXCHANGE for a bigger size. I walked and the owner was bck and when i asked to get bigger size she first just stared at me for about a minute or two and said that she didn't do that. ""Okay, if it's a big deal, nevermind,"" I said. She then, asked what I was making, my yarn weight and told me ""I should have used the recommended needle with the yarn and THAT was MY mistake...not hers, so why exchange the needle on my mistake?"" Seriously?! I haven't been knitting but not even a year and whatever happened to a little customer service?! She also said that that was her policy on needles and since I went home and used them, again that was my mistake! There was no - ""here let me show you a better way or go ahead, don't worry about it!"" Also I did look at her ""return policy"" again and if she wants to stick by that it says ""No returns on needles,"" - I didn't want to RETURN them I just wanted to exchange them and pay any difference there was.\r

I will NEVER go here again to be scolding like a 5 year old bad student and will go out of my way to either order stuff online or go to another shop! I have never seen such a horrible display at customer service or such a lack of desire to help someone else to learn their trade!\r
Pros: speciality yarns
Cons: unfriendly and unhelpful service
