Our dog has been on steroids for the last month and the doctor said we were ok to wean him off, which we did.\r \r He was fine for the first 4 days being off and then on the 5th day he was very lethargic. We made an appointment for our dog to get checked out. We brought him in and he was not given a check up nor was blood taken. the doctor just assumed it was the same thing and he needed to be back on Steroids. So he gave our dog a steroid shot and an hour later, our dog was dead. \r \r I would recommend that anyone thinking of going to this practice rethink.\r \r If you won't take yourself to a doctor who just assumes to know what is wrong with you and administers drugs based on that assumption, then don't take your pet to one who works that way! more

When I called Friday at 4:30 because my sweet dog was in end stage lymphoma distress (emergency), I was put on hold for 14 minutes. When the receptionist finally came back, and I explained the situation, she put me on hold again. We had been in the office a few days before and they knew it was a matter of time. I was told that ""Unfortunately, we close at 5"". Yeah, unfortunately. I have been taking my animals to Shraders for 17 years. But, when I really needed them, I was cruelly turned away. It was as if I was asking them to trim my dogs toenails! Brushed off. Unfortunately.\r The good news is Norwin Veterinary Hospital was there for me and Bebe. With compassion and caring.\r Do not go to Shraders if you love your animals. Because when you really need them, if it is 4:30 on Friday, you are out of luck. more

They took my Giant who had chewed up and swallowed and tennis ball which three weeks early another vet blew it off. Well needless to say she got very ill and they took her right away, xrayed her showed me what she needed, did the surgery and a second after more complications and took excellent care. They had her 5 days until Dr Finley felt safe to send her home and the bill was half of what anyone else would have charged. He came in the middle of the nite to check on here...They are the absolute best and really care. Pros: Went over and above with my Giant Schnauzer more
