Shorts Sports Bar & Grill

So this place used to be better, but the staff there just didn't seem to understand they are in a service industry... I went periodically, but less and less recently. So I went by there this week.. they have a new manager/day-bartender Amanda.. She was awesome. She's right there when I need another beer.. instead of dancing on the bar, shooting pool , or fighting in the bar.. she was behing the bar making sure I had what I needed so I could enjoy the afternoon... not to mention it was the first time in a while that the bathroom was clean.. I get the feeling this bar hit rock bottom and is trying to repair itself.. it's got plenty of potential.. we'll see.. so far so good... more

These people allow staff to fight in the bar! A fight broke out and instead of stopping the fight, the joined in! Men and women! I kept hearing people tell me that the place has gone down but I went anyway, and they were all right! Gross. more

I had been to Shots a few times and was always impressed with the Screens and the amount of games and entertainment on tap. I like the feel of the place but the service has always been a little tarnished. I went back after about 6 months and found a new attitude and level of service. My work schedule allows for some day visits to Shorts and found the new day bartender was fantastic. After my first visit she knew what i drink and how I drink it. She noticed me coming in and before I could get to my seat my adult beverage was waiting for me just like I like it. Amanda is AWESOME. Love it, plan on spending more time there. Also looking forward to some of the activities they might plan in the future. more

It's a clean environment...but, it's a standing joke throughout the clientele in this area...they hire and fire people within weeks...the owners do NOT know what they are doing and leave this Phil person to run the place...and he IS an IDIOT!!! He brings drama to the place and is SOOO unprofessional...I can't go in there when he is there and enjoy myself...what ever happened to Heidi and Shay??? They seemed to make the place run smoothly... I didn't see much of Shay when I went in, but saw Heidi all of the time...she always made me feel relaxed and welcome...if the owners had ANY sense about them they would fire that Phil person and bring Heidi and Shay back!!! more

This use to be a good place to go for happy hour but they have changed prices and services so much it just sucks now !!!!! You can actullay get better prices at a nice resturant for drinks and food who do they think they are kidding this is a local sports bar not a Chillis so why are we paying Chillis prices!!!!!!!!!!! Not to mention the services is horrid a few good people but for the most part a bunch of idiots that spend more time talking to each other then they do serving there customers!!!!!!! Don't waist your time on this dump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

I LOVE THIS PLACE FOR 1 REASON!!! IT HAS TO BE THE SERVICE FROM NIKKI....I THINK HER REAL NAME IS NICHOLE...BUT EVERYBODY ELSE IS HORRIBLE!!!! PROBABLY BECAUSE EVERYBODY ELSE IS NEW EVERYTIME YOU COME.... SO IF YOU COME HERE MAKE SURE YOUR WAITRESS IS NIKKI....SHE MAKES EVERY DRINK RIGHT AND IS THERE ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU NEED HER!!!! The drinks were expensive (rum and coke $6.25). \r \r They have a great band (CPT) play there and that is definitely a reason to check this place out when they are playing. \r \r Otherwise just another sports bar with a bunch of TV's to be honest. more

My co-workers and I love this place, we have a big group of us that comes in around 3.30 after work during the week and it's awsome! \r Great drink specials and half price appetizers. \r Great juke box. We love our bartenders Evie and Shae they make us feel special when we walk in the door, they know what we want to drink and have it ready for us as we are walking in! We never got that kind of service anywhere else. more

I absolutely love this bar! My friends and have been going to this place since they open. They have the best drinks price in town. You can kick back watch the game, play pool, sit on the patio and listen to music etc. I read some of the other reviews. However, I do not know who the actual owner is. In response to the other person review. This is one of the few places I know that do not charge you $15 to $20 to watch the UFC FIGHT. If the drink prices change during the UFC. I have not notice. I am African American (male) and have friends of different ethnicity and we have never felted out of place. I have seen all different races working there. This bar is clean and has a great atmosphere. They have HOT SEXY GIRLS riding a bull what else can a man ask for. THIS PLACE KNOWS HOW TO DO IT RIGHT!!!!!! more

These couple employees repeatedly were engaging in stealing liquors from the liquor room, money from the cash registers and money and other valuable personal items from the employee’s purse and bags, when they both were in charge of the full management’s positions. For the 8 different times within the last sixty days these two employees were being caught allegedly drinking and stealing. Unlike the recent incident in which the offenses were caught by other employees, both thieves were exposed when the Short Sports Bar installed a motion-activated web-cam in the liquor room and in the office to catch the burglar in the act. Shorts Sports Bar and Grill decided not to press criminal charges against these two employees. Because being fired from their jobs is enough nightmare and punishment. They both filed complaints, trying to collect unemployment benefits, which the agency made a determination that their complaints were belong to the trash can. more

First off Shelly, thank you for your kind words. I had the unfortunate pleasure to be one of the managers at the train wreck establisment known as Sports bar and grill.\r The real Owner of Shorts is Danesh Massood and his Brother in law supposebly runs the place and his name is Moe. I want to give you some insight about this place in the short time I worked there and let you all decide if you want to go there. First day on the job, Danesh, takes the entire bartending staff off the schedule instead of firing because he is frugal and too much of a panzy too do it so he leaves it up to management. He ( Danesh) belittles his staff and expects them to work 24/7 on crappy wage. Basically if you add the hours up, you are working below min wage. He is sexiest, prejustice and absolutely clueless how to run a bar.\r As far as Moe goes, he is dumber then nails. He is suppose to be an accountant and yet, can't count the money correctly. On UFC nights, they pride themselves on not having a cover charge but what you don't know is that they hike up the drinks and don't even let you know that. Just one of the countless decieving things this bar does. \r Onto the new manager there, She fired one of the orignal managers that opened the bar and the reason is, he is too old. That's right, he was fire for being too old and Danesh shows his loyalty by doing nothing. There is no loyalty or appreciation from ownership at all. The woman manager has lost touch with reality but I think they deserve each other.\r This is not a scorn ex employee here, trust me on that one. I think the public has a right too know how awful the owners are. For ex: Danesh says "" Don't hire any black people, we already have our token one here"". So if you would like to hang out at an establishment that is raciest, treat employees awful and hide added charges to your bill then this is the place for you. I will NEVER step foot in this bar ever again. more

This place looked like it would be a lot of fun, especially to go and watch the football game, since it's a sports bar right? Apparently some of the people at the bar ""didn't like"" the team that we were watching so they kept changing the channel to NASCAR? We specifically sat in front of a T.V. that was playing our game and the owner kept changing the channel off of our game onto NASCAR because some of the people in the bar didn't like the team. Doesn't that contradict the point of a 'Sports Bar""... if you aren't watching the 'it' game then forget about it, they will change the channel right in the middle of a pivotal moment. Terrible, terrible place... don't spend your hard earned money to get cheated out of your game.... more

My husband and I came in last Night and it was packed. We were fortunate to get a table. The down side was we waited for 10 minutes and wasn't approached for drinks. This gentleman came over and took our order and came back immediately with our drinks. He told us the waitress was new but he would take of us and he did. Turns out this gentleman Brett is the manager there and I wanted to say thank you for making our first time there a wonderful time and we will definitely be back. I normally never write a review on a bar but with this type of service that I recieved, how can I not. Pros: Great patio, spacious, great location more
