Since I am new to the Orlando area, I decided to search for a full service salon that could take take care of my hair, nails and feet. While on City Search, I came across Shear Madnees Hair Studio. I read the reviews and decided to make an appointment. I was told since it was my first visit, I could receive 20% off of my services, that truly excited me. When I walked in, I was impressed by the decor and how friendly the staff was. The salon had a wonderful warm vibe. My stylist was very knowledgable. She was able to color and style my hair in a way that made me feel and look pretty. I then went over for my mani/pedi, she was a true professional, she massaged my hands and feet. It was great. I was then told that they offer massages, I didn't get it done that day, but I will soon. Shear Madness thank you very much. You are everything a salon should be!!!!!!!! more

Disapointed 8/20/2011

Because of the excellent reviews online I thought I would give shear madness a try. As soon as I walked in I felt like I was a little disapointed. The salon has a cold vibe. My stylist did not seem like she enjoyed her job at all. I was shocked by some of the conversations I was hearing. A lot of cursing, a lot of complaining about the boss and a lot of sex talk. And one of the stylists was eating in his chair. I thought it was very gross and disrespectful. When I go to a salon I want it to be a relaxing time. My highlights turned out decent. The price is alright for what your getting. But I would rather spend more if I am going to get pampered. 2 weeks later my highlights have faded out, and my haircut is AWFUL, I had to have it redone at a different salon! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED more

Only place i have gotten my hair cut in several years 8/15/2011

Laurie has been cutting my hair for several years, I would not go anywhere else. The entire staff at Shear Madness is very nice and professional. I would suggest suggest this establishment to to anyone! more

Finding the right fit 6/13/2011

Just moved from Denver, Colorado and was looking for good reviews on a hair salon in my area. I read that Shear Madness had many great comments, specifically on one particular stylist named Azalia Justin. I have shorter hair and as anyone knows with a short cut it can be very tricky to get it right! I took in some pictures of what I was looking for, which I recommend to everyone, I received excellent imput from Azalia as to what would actually work with my hair type. I was impressed she took her time to listen and I was very happy with the outcome! Everyone wants to look hot and sexy don't they! Thanks to Azalia for making me look and feel great! more

Relaxing 5/23/2011

I have been going to Laurie at Shear Madness for 5years, she always makes my highlights perfect every time. Laurie listens to me everytime I want to change my cut and gives me exactly what I want. She is the BEST!! I feel completely relaxed every time I go to Shear Madness I can hardly keep my eyes open!! I love this Salon I have never been so comfortable! well worth the drive! 5/22/2011

I live in Winter Garden and had been going to the same person for my hair coloring and cut needs but great news for her she was having a baby and would be out for a bit what was I supposed to do...I heard about Shear Madness from a friend thought why not give it a try..My stylist's name is Azalia, not only is she very talented with my hair but I think there is nothing she couldn't do with anyones. A perfectionist and very personable. I for one am not one to talk too much when having my hair done but Azalia as well as the whole staff at Shear Madness have such an comfortable air about them. It's comfy but I feel like I'm being pampered all at the same time. Definately worth the drive I will be back again, I couldn't stop smiling with how beautiful Azalia helped me feel!!!!! more

I feel renewed ! ! ....just FABULOUS ... 5/20/2011

I went to Shear Madness Hair Studio after my co-worker, (tired of listening to me, complain about my hair) told me that I had to try her salon. She mentioned the friendly and relax atmosphere at Shear Madness and the wonderful stylists there. I have my doubts, because my hair is a challenge for everyone ...very thick and bulky in spots and on top of that my gray is ""no walk in the park' ...lol ! Well, my miracle worker is Azalia ! I love my hair cut. Azalia, took time with my hair, thin it out,gave it texture and a beautiful style. Is such a wonderful feeling to run my fingers through my soft hair now. It used to take me an hour to dry my hair and after Azalia's magic touch, my hair dries a lot quicker.She did an amazing job with the hair color too,the highlights are beautiful and my grays are less noticeable. If you want to feel renewed...Azalia is your stylist...like she is mine. I will not trust anyone else with my hair. She is just FABULOUS ! ! ! ! more

Best hair color cut and style, no doubt! 5/20/2011

I was referred to Shear Madness how all great places are to be found, by word of mouth! The lovely Azalia's reputation preceded her, not only did I receive top notch salon service but she did the unthinkable, she got my dark brown hair to a beautiful blonde with out turning it orange like a previous bad experience. Very welcoming and comfortable feel of the shop as well. Go check it out for yourself, you will not be disappointed! more

Mind Blowingly Awesome 5/19/2011

I recently went to Shear Madness as it came highly recommended to me. A sweet young woman by the name Azalia (hope I spelled it right) was not only super knowledgeable but took the time to understand my wants to a rather unusual cut and color. I've been leary to trust anyone else with my hair due to the odd requests I have with it- but Azalia tackled it like a champ and I will be back and I recommend you do the same. She was very precise and professional which I could not have appreciated more! more

Lisa is the best 9/30/2010

I went here a couple of months ago with my mom because my sister had gone in and gotten her hair done by Roe the day before so I decided I would also check it out. So I just walked in and Lisa took care of me. She took her time cutting my hair and didnt rush through it I love her even my mom decided to cut her hair i definitely recommend it more

Great color - great cut 2/17/2010

I recently moved to Orlando. After having my hair done a few times downtown at a rather expensive salon - I went through a stretch a work and was unable to get my roots and cut done. In addition to taking a long time and costing a lot of money, my gray roots were repeatedly coming out a different color than the rest of my hair. I called Melissa, hoping to get an appointment next week. She got me in the same day. I took my gray rooted, dull color hair into the salon. I was greeted by friendly faces all around, and felt like I was walking into a family. Melissa listed, offered suggestions, and pointed out some things I was doing wrong. She corrected my color and gave me a great cut. I wear a uniform to work daily, and Melissa made me feel like a pretty woman again! All at about $60 less than the last salon I stepped out of! Pros: Melissa's custom blended color Cons: Have not encountered any yet more

ihavent cut my hair since 2000 it is now 2010...yesss its been foreveeerrr lol iwanted the scene look but not soo detailed..ilove my long hair just needed to cut some off..ifound shear madness through here and thanks to all the great reviews ichose this salon..venus cut my hair just PERFECT..its exactly what iwanted =) im obv. a happy customer and my best friend went the next day and was completely satisfied as well..the environment in the salon is chill and relax..venus is hilarious and a great hair stylist..ill def. be coming back <3 more

Great experience! 11/18/2009

I just moved to the Orlando area from Tampa and was in desperate need of root touch up. I have also just started a new job, so I wanted to get a whole new look (long to short hair). Melissa was AWESOME! I went in with pics of what I wanted(Victoria Beckham/Katie Holmes), and she looked at them and made it look beautiful on me! I have never had my hair colored in such a fast time! Plus I had fun while I was in there. I can't wait to come in again...I think I want it even shorter now! :) Pros: Quick, Helpful, Fun Cons: Nothing more

when i go there i come out feeling are up to date on the up to date and beautiful. the staff also practices what it preaches and that helps. they are up to date on the latest techniques and know about hair and what compliments your style in a flattering manageable way!!! He is truly an Artist in every sense of the word. Puts his whole heart into every piece of his work, from doing wedding hair styles to everyday styles he is truly a magician.
