The Scene Families make this a destination to picnic and play on afternoons underneath plenty of shady, green trees that cover the 1,150 acres. Boasting archery facilities, tennis courts, a three-mile one-way hiking trail, dog-park, beach, outdoor theater and radio-controlled airplane field, the park has something to offer everyone. Landlocked, Indeed High school and college kids craving a little bit of sun go straight to the park beach on weekends to check each other out. A $2 fee gets them in while an additional fee gets them a rental boat for sailing and fishing. A permit is required for bringing in your own boat as well as for fishing. Not Just for People Animals are required to be on a leash everywhere except at the dog-park. A fenced-in, 70-acre area with access to the lake where four-legged friends can roam and mingle while their owners do the same.
