Dr. Jaleel has been my veterinarian since 1983, and Donna B is sooo wrong in her review. It just makes me furious for her to insinuate that he could possibly not be "legally licensed" .. how absurd! If I'm not mistaken, Dr.Jaleel has served on the Georgia Board of Veterinary Medicine and is is past winner of the "Veterinarian of the Year" award. I don't think these things would happen to someone who is not a wonderful doctor! Yes, he does require what some people might consider 'unnecessary" tests (blood work), but age isn't important. Donna B should understand that just because the dog is young, she could still have underlying medical issues that could be deadly under anesthesia .... you always want to have a baseline to go forward with. I'm a nurse, so I do understand the need for baseline blood work for any patient before surgery and anesthesia. Dr. Jaleel has a saying that is the truth ... "You don't pay for what I do, but what I know" (I tease him always about the "cost" of an injection, for example ... I'm a nurse, and work in a hospital pharmacy ... I'll tease him about charging , let's say $10 for an injection that I know the cost is way below that). However, he's right ... we pay for what he knows, not what he does. And, his fees are about the same as everyone else I know that goes to different clinics. Healthcare is expensive for animals, just like it is for us. So, Donna G ... I think you're wrong in your review ... you should NEVER imply that he might not be "legally licensed" ... that's just wrong ... his staff is wonderful, and Dr.Montgomery is also excellent .... I never had children, so my "pets" are my children, and believe me, if Dr. Jaleel was not an excellent veterinarian, I would not still be trusting my "babies' lives" to him since 1983! more

This place is extremely expensive and they throw in a lot of unnecessary treatments. I got my 6 year old cat's teeth cleaned last year and although I know they have to be sedated, I believe my cat was over drugged. It took two days for the drugs to wear off and that is after staying at the vet for 4 hours after the procedure. Recently I took her back to get her checked for a UTI and they wanted to charge me over $400 for tests. I refused and only wanted the antibiotic to bring home and give to her but they forced some food that she won't eat, along with some other powder that goes over food that also turns her away. For some reason they sedated her again and for two days she was still drugged and peeing on her self, not to mention, she still has blood in her urine. I've gotten her teeth cleaned before somewhere else and the drugs didn't take two days to wear off. The same place also treated her for a UTI five years ago and her recovery didn't take nearly as long. more

I had my dog in my backyard who is a JACKRUSSEL. She was outside in the yard with her kennel..I left for two hours and when I came back she was gone. I called SHANNON Parkway animal hospital to let them know my dog Sweetie is missing. The wonderful staff and doctor DR. JALEEL found her for me..I am so glad that DR.JALEEL is my VET because without him and his staff I probably would have still been looking for my SWEETIE. I STRONGLY recommend every Pet owner to take their pet to SHANNON PARKWAY ANIMAL HOSPITAL TO DR. JALEEL.. more

I took my chihuahua in after he was attacked by a pitbull. The Doctor was very caring and the staff was great. They worked with me and the Doctor made sure my Floyd was fine. I will send by friends to Dr. Jaleel. more

Dr. Jaleel has been my dog's veterinarian for 8 years. Her name is Bernie. We've had nothing but great experiences with the doctor and his staff. The doctor is very caring and capable and Bernie just loves going for her grooming. I believe that the treatment that Bernie gets at this veterinarian is as good as, if not better than, what we would get at any facility. I don't think you could find a better veterinarian. I have never had a monetary dispute with the doctor. If I needed to arrange payments the doctor was always willing to meet me half way. Dr. Jaleel has a long standing practice in this community with a large clientele. We all trust the wellbeing and welfare of our pets with him and this staff. I am highly offended that anyone, like Donna B., would make such a negative comment about a highly qualified and caring provider as Dr. Jaleel, and I could only assume that the individual is misinformed or up to no good to make such negative statements. I would refer any animal lover/owner to Shannon Parkway Animal Hospital and Boarding. more

Worst we experience we have ever had with a vet. 1 year 5 month maltese, up to date on all shots. We wanted routine dental cleaning, and check for a urinary track infection. Final bill $783.64 for "required" testing to do dental work. Wonder if tests were really performed? All negative on such a young dog. Why wouldn't they be.!! This in my opinion was only "bulking" up a bill because she is an expensive dog, and we are fairly new to the area. When asked for copies of my records The vet refused them. I asked for the reports and he instructed his staff worker to call the police on me several times. I said "go ahead" each time. The last time the staff worker asked him if he wanted her to call the police. He said "no'. He is a disgrace to his profession and I wonder if he is legally licensed as he kept trying to hide or keep things from me.. Very upsetting experience and would advise other people to think twice before going to The Shannon Parkway Animal Hospital. "NO STARS" more
