SHANAZ IS THE BEST! 3/3/2010

I've been going to Shanaz for two years now. My boyfriend found her on the web and her salon is a stone's throw from our house, so I took a chance. I have "difficult" hair (wavy and frizzes AND gray roots) and I'm not proficient with the dryer and round brush. Shanaz was wonderful and my hair has never looked better. She is a color genius. I have regular compliments on the color. When I walk out my hair is shiny and bouncy and it looks that way for several days. My friends in my office comment on how great it looks, and it has given me a much-needed self-confidence boost. My boyfriend loves it too. I am her client for as long as I have hair! Pros: My hair is always fab when I walk out! Cons: None more

Amazing Haircuts & Color 2/21/2010

Shanaz does amazing haircuts and color. I came in with a terrible haircut and color that a previous hairstylist had done and she fixed it! I completely trust her with my hair, and granted the Salon is on Ventura Blvd. parking is never an issue! And she is sooo nice! Pros: Great price and always leave happy. Cons: None!!! more

Mens Hair Done Well 9/30/2009

I'm new to town, back home in Australia I get my hair done by an award winning stylist, so I am very picky. I am also quite loyal. BUT, I really wanted a haircut and here I was in LA - where can I get a good haircut at a reasonable price? Pros: - wants you to look good - makes you look good Cons: - none! more

I am a redhead with very curly hair. Since I have been going to Shanaz for 13 years, I am very happy with my hair when I leave the salon. Shanaz does excellent work in cutting, styling, corlor (highlights and lowlights) and she even does makeup. She works very hard and gives every client preferential treatment. Doesn't play favorites. Her deep concern to please all of her clients puts her way ahead of every one else. I love to go to the salon once a week and see her beautiful and smiling face. I only trust Shanaz with my hair. I have been seeing Shanaz to have my hair cut, styled, and highlighted for ten years! She is an expert in helping you choose just the right cut for your hair type and texture. Her highlights always blend perfectly, and when I wanted a natural look for my blond highlights, nobody ever guessed that my hair wasn't exactly the mixture of sun-kissed golden tones that Shanaz gave me. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and my family lives in Los Angeles. Every time I visit my family, I also visit Shanaz and she always takes excellent care of me – I am so accustomed to her fabulous work, that I only let Shanaz cut and color my hair (I travel over 300 miles just to have the peace of mind that Shanaz will do the job right, every time! Shanaz is in a word, "awesome!" She cuts and colors my hair and does an incredible job. I always get compliments after a visit with her. Although I try to see her every 6-8 weeks, I sometimes go longer. But, it doesn't matter! The cut is so good, my hair retains the shape for months! Her prices are competitive and she's so sweet! great service and consistent cut and color 4/21/2009

I moved to LA recently and had to go through the process of finding someone i trust with my hair. The minute I met with Shanaz, i knew she was the one. She listened to what i wanted, was gentle with my scalp and gave me a great cut.. She is flexible with her schedule also.. I feel at home when i sit in her chair and know i will enjoy the next two hours as well as walk out with a cut and color that draws ALOT of compliments.. I highly recommend her! I LOVE getting my hair done by Shanaz! 4/18/2009

I moved to LA from the midwest last year, and I was terribly worried about finding a great stylist for a reasonable price. After reading these reviews, I decided to call Shanaz. She got me in right away and worked her magic. I LOVED it and received so many compliments on my stylish highlights and cut! My hair looks better than ever, and I am SO THANKFUL that I found Shanaz. I go back to her every 3 months, and I enjoy my appointments and am always more than satisfied with my results. Give her a call -- you won't be disappointed! She WOWED ME 4/10/2009

I can't say enough wonderful things about my hair stylist... but to say i come from Texas for her to cut my hair should say A LOT! She cut my hair the first time (which i had grown out to donate to locks of love) after a bout of cancer. I was scared to cut off so much hair but now i love my new style and its all thank to Shanaz!! If you want to try something new go to Shanaz!! You won't be disappointed. Beautiful highlights and cut! 11/7/2008

Shanaz is the best. For years I've been trying to describe to other colorists the color that I wanted, and Shanaz was the only one to get it. She really listens you, and she is brilliant when it comes to color. This is the happiest I have ever been with my hair. I've been going to Shanaz for over a year and have always been extremely pleased with the color, highlights, and cut she has given me. She is always prompt and gives me her full attention. In addition, she listens to what I want, and makes good suggestions as to what style would be most flattering. I always receive many compliments after I've had my hair done. Her prices are very reasonable for the quality products she uses, her talent, and the consistently good results she is able to maintain. Truly, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks Shanaz. The best ! 10/9/2008

Shanaz is great, my color & cut are both fantastic. My previous ( much more expensive stylist) kept "texturizing'"my hair the result: hard to handleand a chore to maintain. Not any more. Shanaz corrected my color and fixed a very flyaway style that was making drying a chore. Go see her ! Pros: All good Cons: None more

Shanaz has always exceeded my expectations every time I visit her - and I leave with amazing hair! I go to Shanaz for hair cuts and styles. She always listens to what I want and gets it right every time. She has great advice. The best part is that she'll let me know how to take care of my new cut and offers ideas for how to do it. Knows fine hair 9/22/2008

When I moved here a few years ago I couldn't seem to find anyone who could work well with my babyfine hair. One day out of desperation I typed "haircut fine hair LA" into Google and found Shanaz. Thank goodness. She knows what my hair will and won't do, and has a knack for knowing what suits my features. The best part is how long the cut lasts-- it looks good easily for the two months between cuts, even though I typically don't put much work into styling it. Shanaz also does my color and I get lots of compliments on it. She is also on time and super nice. I drive here from Silverlake and it's well worth it.
