Shaker Family Ford Lincoln

Family Ford is not at all what they make themselves out to be. Leased a vehicle from them 3 years ago. Through the years the Service Dept has been so offensive in their dealing with me. Insisting that I needed work and maintenence on the vehicle that was not necessary due to low mileage and EXCELLENT CARE ON MY PART! Service Dept insisted that brakes needed to be replaced at 28,000 miles. Took vehicles into an independent mechanic only to find out that FORD was placing brakes made from RECYCLED steel on NEW VEHICLES! At 28,000 miles the brakes were black and falling apart because of the shoddy brakes Ford placed on a BRAND NEW VEHICLE. When confronted with the issue the OWNER of FAMILY FORD simply stated 'That is above my pay grade'. SHAMEFUL - the owner of this dealership could not care one bit that his Company was doing this? Continue to do business with Family Ford and you will end up paying dearly. BTW- I replaced the brakes independently since the Service Dept was so rude and demeaning to me when attempting to have regular maintenance done on the vehicle. Family Ford should realize that they will lose business continuing down this path. I will ensure that everyone I know never does business with Family Ford. more

I bought many cars and the sales dept. is great. Had a problem with one of the vehicles and Pat in service was rude. He didn't care that i was a repeat purchaser and fought with me about everything. I went to Litchfield Ford and was treated like i should have been. I will never buy another vehicle at Family again. more

nicest people, dealership ever...I have purchased and serviced 2 explorers and an escape from family over the last 10 years..also my family nieces and brother in law have bought taurus explorer and 3 escapes!!!! all have been excellent and all people their are the best... i am writing this due to the review of some person who obviously does not want to tke responsibility for the care of their escape you have to be moving fast to break a rim in a pothole...the rental policy is standard from any dealership...some may not be upfront about loaners the escape is the best rated vehicle of its kind and ford,s most reliable!!!! Family Ford is professional and consistently a customer pleaser...thru my referrals and my family i know of no less that 15 people who i referred bought all kinds of vehicles from family and not one has ever complined rather they thanked me and raved for the service they recieved Pros: friendly fair alot of extras Cons: none more

They care nothing about their customers after they have their money. The Ford Escape they sold me in April of 2007 is a piece of garbage. It is now in the shop for transmission failure and I have been unable to go to work for the last three days because they do not provide rental cars unless you have $500 on a credit card. Most dealerships ask for a credit card in case but Family Ford specifies that there must be $500 on the credit card or no loner car for you. If you roll over a little pothole the Ford Escapes rims will break at a cost to you of $600 a piece. Most place I've heard of have potholes, as a matter of fact all major US cities do. They care nothing about your family, so the word family should be removed from Family Ford. Pros: They are good at convincing you to buy. Cons: If your car has mechanical problems they will fix it but you won't have anything to drive. more
