Where do I start? Background: I lived there for a year because I couldn't get out sooner. I was never late on a rent payment and never had a bounced check. My experience at shadowbrook was great, at the beginning, before you sign. Staff is nice and always smiling and full of wonderful greetings. But things changed... Most things, there are very fragile, they are always at the point were they are about to break. And when things do break, like my heating unit, shower doors, blinds, drawers. They either igonore your request for maintence or when they go they do some mickeymouse temp job that will end up breaking again. The maneger is unpleasent person to deal with, customer servicer is clearly not their number one, they got you on a lease, they actually remind you of that a lot, so what can you do. The girls that work there are eternaly ""pms"" ing, if you know what I mean, it seems like they hate their jobs. They are rude and treat you like your some nobody when you walk into their office. They never send out rent receipts either. I can't believe you have to ask for a receipt? The grounds keeper gives a weird vibe. The pools are dirty. The spa never works, i think they turn it off to save on their energy bill and just tell the tenants it is out of order. I say that because they are very stingy. The place needs more lighting to deter vandalism, which is abundent and affects people with nice or not so nice cars. My car was vandalised and all my ex neighbors's cars have been vandalised. Cars are often stolen. Management does nothing to stop it or nothing after it happens. And they want to make it seem like it never happens and that your incident is isolated and as if you were being a target. ""Do you know of anyone that would like to hurt you""? - they ask.
Pros: by freeway, by mall,
Cons: dirty pools, not working gym equpiment, not working spa (during the winter), poor staff, VANDALISM IS NORMAL, and dirty getto looking laundry rooms
