Love the attention given by the staff, very friendly, and patient. The wait time is a nightmare, and the frames are a little outdated, but I use contacts so no worries!! I recommend coming in early as possible and try Saturdays that will help with wait time! Pros: customer service, knowledge of insurance plans Cons: wait time more

Shades of Brooklyn 7/27/2008

i went to this Pitkin avenue optical with much caution because of location. Honestly, it is sad that in the inner-city areas of New York city, customer service really stinks. When I went to Shades of Brooklyn I was very please with the willingness to help, and the excellent customer service. It wasn't astonishing customer service, Also was not such a great selection of designer frames. Pros: plenty seating, television, low music, everyone friendly Cons: wait time, not great selection. more
