Just want to extend a thank you to Dr. Steffes and his crew for the excellent care Kitty received. Kitty was treated with tender loving care every step of the way. The office is immaculate and the staff is professional and knowledgeable. Anyone who has had the experience of taking their pets to Dr. Steffes knows how much he cares for each of his patients. We all want the best for our pets and we have him here in New Port Richey. Thanks again! more

Great Service from Dr.Jim and Staff,Extremely reasonable prices, Immaculately clean facility! I just have to take the time to Thank Dr. Jim and his staff at Seven Springs Animal Hospital we are fairly new to the area and were referred by a friend to use their Kennel for boarding. The staff made us and more importantly our 2 dogs feel comfortable and welcomed.We also met a Great Dr. who caught an ear infection before it got worse and we were so grateful that Dr.Jim was available while our little guys were boarding.I was even more convinced that our family found a Full Service home for our pets when I came early to pick them up and found them running out in the huge fully fenced yard with a staff member.Overall great experience and because they took so much care and time for us I wanted to spread the word for them Also the treatment recommended by Dr. Jim cleared Rusty's ear infection up and his staff called to check on him after he was home It was refreshing how much they cared more

I am responding to the entirely false and malicious comments and reviews being posted regarding our boarding by one vindictive person. I work at Seven Springs Animal Hospital; we treat each and every pet that comes in as if they were our own. I have to respond to this review because I take it personally that such lies are being spread- look around and consider all the 5 star and excellent reviews our clients have posted about our award winning facility and think about this comment as the one bad apple: I say this because we took such good care of these 2 dogs in particular and it was obvious that the care was appreciated by the dogs and also by the owner when they were picked up. My coworkers and I keep the kennel immaculately clean; we bathed these 2 dogs as needed on our own time at no charge to the client as a courtesy and brushed them daily and also exercised them daily in the yard. Honestly I was told by other staff members and I agree they looked better going home than they did when they were brought in. Though this owner declined any medical services and only used our facility for boarding (even after the false and malicious allegations she didn’t seek medical attention for her pets with any vet or respond to our phone calls to check on the dogs)I want to point out that her intentional attempts to tarnish this Hospitals reputation is bringing undo stress to a group of people who have the highest level of character and integrity of any I have had the pleasure to work with! more

Excellent Care 5/8/2013

Excellent Compassionate Care: Dr. Steffes has been our pets Doctor for years now and I would and do tell anyone who is looking for a Great Veterinarian to Check him out at Seven Springs Animal Hospital. My Retriever had some tartar buildup just last month and his breath was really Bad. Dr. Steffes cleaned his teeth beautifully and for a better price than my neighbor paid going elsewhere. No more bad breath!! I am so grateful to Dr. Steffes and his staff for always being there for our family. I'd recommend him for yours as well more

Dr. Steffes and his team at Seven Springs Animal Hospital have been taking care of my families pets for more than four years. He is the most kind, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor I have ever met. We have 2 cats and 3 dogs in our family and Dr. Steffes has provided us with not only the best healthcare for them but he and Dee also have a genuine concern for our entire families overall well being. I won't trust my extended family with anyone else and definitely recommend anyone who needs quality healthcare, grooming or boarding in Pasco county to go to Seven Springs Animal Hospital and see for yourself how great they are:) more

Dr. Steffes and his staff are the most caring people I have ever met. They are so good to their patients (and their patient's parents). \r "Doc" treats each patient as though it were his own, and his staff do the same.\r If you're looking for a knowledgable Vet, look no further.\r \r Their boarding facilities are the best I've ever seen. The animals are not just left alone for their stay. They are exercised and played with daily. My dogs love it there!\r \r I appreciate all of the care they have given my dogs and I would highly recommend to everyone. more

Dr. James Steffes and Seven Springs Animal Hospital have been most competant and gracious in the care offorded to me AND my two Schnauzers. Both my animals have been cared for by DR. Steffes during ttimes of critical illnesses as well as for routine wellness checks. Dr. Jim has routinly called with testing data as well as to follow up on the progress of my animals. During the 3 plus years I have been a client , and my animals patients the care and service have been laudatory with no issues of complaint. Thank you for helping Smooch and Zoe in the continuation of their comfort during their "senior years". more

A Loving Cat Owner 6/26/2010

What a great find! The facility is sparkling clean, the staff is very caring and friendly, the prices are reasonable and most of all, Dr. Steffes is very compassionate and knowledgeable. Dr. Steffes really took his time with my kitten, explained everything to me and never once made me feel rushed! After my wonderful experience at this place, I will never go anywhere else. more

Dr. Steffes Educated Us w/Love/Care 5/2/2010

I am a first time parent of a newly adopted dog & and was looking for a GREAT VET in the area. I found Dr. Steffes,and he is GREAT! ! Woody was a shelter dog and ended up having many conditions, needing treatment and medications. The Doctor provided us with great information and educated us as to how we could best help our dog!! I wouldn't go anywhere else for Woody' s care!! more

I have been treated so well by Dr,Steffes at Seven Springs Animal Hospital for years, I cannot recommend him highley enough! He not only treated my pet who was recently close to death," he treated me also", with kindness, concern, respect and the quality of medical treatment I expected , He explains everything that is wrong with her and how he he's going to treat it. I'm Happy to say Misty is healthy and Happy again, Thanks to Dr. Jim. It is not unusual even on his day off for him to come in if one of his patients is in need of critical care. He is a very devoted DVM.and truly has a heart for all animals and people. more

Extreamly Happy w/ Service & Prices 2/2/2010

I was attracted to all the good things I have read in the newspapers about this Dr's work with abandonded and abused animals,especially the one about the kittens tossed onto Hwy19 from a moving car. A police woman took them to Dr.Steffes for a look-over and treatment. He had such a kind espression on his face I knew this was the vet for me! It paid off bigtime. I have never been to a vet hospital that has a complete side of the hospital just for cats! My Oliver liked the privacy and the Doctor right away -I was surprised because Ollie is very shy. I took him because he had been loosing weight and has a few "bald spots" . Dr. Steffes checked him for a thyroid problem and gave me some pills within a two week time Ollie is on the mend ! I was surprised at the check-out my bill was about half of what I expected! It doesn't get any better than that. I also found the food I had been looking for ! I already sent my sister and mom to Seven Springs Animal Hospital and they love Dr. Steffe more

Great Doctor& Michigan State Grad!! 2/1/2010

I will be forever greatful to my neighbor for telling me about Dr. Steffes when I ask for a vet nearby. He is extreamly kind and took the time to get to know my pet Charlie and a complete history of his medical conditions. He was an abused dog an has a lot of issues. I feel completly confident in the Doctor's ability to handle anything that might come up. Dr. Steffes spent about 45mins talking to me,not just a quick look over then all communication from a tech. I liked this very much ! more

Kindest Most caring Vet 2/1/2010

The Kindness of Dr.Steffes and his wife who helps out at front desk is something I would like to share. When they recently took care of my pet that I owned for 15 years. My pet and I have always received the kind of care I would want for my human family. The doctor always discusses treatment o\r ptions and finances prior to any decisions we made together.I have and continue to be an extreamly happy patron of this terrific team. It is also the cleanest annimal hospital I have ever been in!! Thanks! more

Great service at Seven Springs Animal Hospital. 11/12/2005

My husband and I have been taking our pets to Dr Jim for years. They have a very clean facility and they provide the best care possible. They board pets and their rates are very reasonable. They truly treat your pet as if it was their own. Husband and wife work in the facility and they have their own pets with them while they work. It may be a bit pricier than other places for routine examinations but the quality of care is well worth it. They do their best to accomodate to your needs and have great hours.They earn 5 stars in my book! more
