I have been having lunch here off and on since they opened. For noodles the quality reminds me of my visits to japan. The chef demands his standards be maintained sometimes quit...

Worst

This is an all means of traditional Japanese place. I'm not a big sushi fun but meals are ok. Girls have to obey their male boss. Pros: ok food Cons: Bad Boss

best Nabiyaki Udon noodle this side of the great blue pond 4/19/2010

I have been having lunch here off and on since they opened. For noodles the quality reminds me of my visits to japan. The chef demands his standards be maintained sometimes quite audibly - not my style of doing business, but I do value the food prepared here highly. BEST sushi in Diablo Valley 1/10/2007

Agree - By far, the BEST sushi on this side of Caldecott. One of the 5 best in the entire Bay Area. Not a large place so it will fill up and hard to get in Friday-Saturday nights but well worth it. Pros: One of the 5 best sushi places in SF Bay Area. Cons: Small place more

Best sushi in the East Bay 6/7/2006

When Serika first opened fifteen years ago, I used to think it was the best kept secret in the Bay Area sushi. For the past decade, however, Serika has secured itself as the finest sushi bar in the East Bay; the crowds encountered at peak hours on Friday and Saturday attest to it. Perhaps due to the volume of fish they unload, Serika's ""netta"" is consistently fresh and of the best cut. Best sushi around 4/10/2005

I have been going to Serika for years and eat sushi at many other places in the city and elsewhere. Serika is simply the best. They may not have the wide variety of rolls or nigiri, but everything they do is done right. They are the best place in the Bay Area that I know of and at far lower prices than some of the notorious places in SF. more
