This place was not as advertised. I purchased a voucher with a package. I did not receive the package which was suppose to included a bottle of wine even after asking several time...

This place was not as advertised. I purchased a voucher with a package. I did not receive the package which was suppose to included a bottle of wine even after asking several times and waiting about three hours. I went to the grocery and bought my own wine. I would say this is a no frills place with a high class price tag (even with a voucher). I would not recommend it to my friends. more

Best Romantic Spot in Tx 7/20/2010

My boyfriend and I have 5 daughters between the two of us, and as some of you know, it is very easy to lose who you are as a couple when you are taking care of so many kiddos. Serenity Farmhouse was our weekend getaway. Not only did it remind us of who we were as couple, but the tranqulity and staff at Serenity Farmhouse made it perfect. The views are spectacular, the complimentary breakfast was great, and it is only about 10 minutes from town. If you want to get away for any reason, Serenity Farmhouse is the only way to go. The staff will make sure you will not be disappointed! Pros: Beautiful Views and Exceptional Staff Cons: You never want to go home more

Serenity Farm House is so romantic-the perfect getaway 7/1/2010

My husband and I have stayed a Serenity Farm House on three different occasions. Sherry the owner has been so gracious to us. We loved our beautifully decorated cottage room, the fabulous breakfast delivered to our door with sausage biscuits, cheese and fresh strawberries, fresh squeezed orange juice! We loved our heart shaped hot tub to relax in and the wonderful non chemical swimming pool in the evenings. \r The ""piece de resistance"" is the couples massage. Sherry is a phenomenal massuese and my husband and I totally enjoyed it. He had the Japanese foot massage and I the facial in addition to the one hour body massage and we enjoyed every minute of it. If you need a romantic getaway from everything...this is the place. We love Serenity and Sherry!!! Pros: Fabulous Massuese - Sherry Cons: None that we have experienced more

Never rent from Serenity Farmhouse!! 6/27/2010

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER rent from Serenity Farmhouse, unless you are willing to have your paid-in-full reservation cancelled at the last minute. \r \r I made a reservation to rent Serenity Farmhouse (all 3 bedrooms) in March of 2010 for my family. My credit card was charged the full amount in April; I paid the full amount in May; received a ""confirmation"" email 1 week prior to my arrival in June. Then, 3 days before my arrival, I received a phone call telling me Serenity Farmhouse was NOT AVAILABLE, and I had to find another place to stay. Sherry (the owner) cancelled my reservation even though I made the reservation more than 3 months in advance, paid in full, was sent an email confirmation, and was due to arrive in 3 days! Luckily, I found another place to stay in Wimberley at the last minute, with no help or compensation from Sherry!\r \r While talking with the Chamber of Commerce and several other business owners in Wimberley, I found out that I am the THIRD person in 2010 who thought they had a reservation, only to find their ""reservation"" is cancelled at the last minute! Sherry (the owner) has a habit of accepting reservations, taking your money, and then telling you Serenity Farmhouse is ""not available"" shortly before you are due to arrive. I also learned the red heart-shaped hot tub is full of algae and other gross things.\r \r I have NEVER experienced such a poor business ethic from anyone else anywhere else in my life. Help me put Sherry (the owner) out of business!!\r \r ""Betty knows Best"" Pros: Nothing Cons: Sherry (the owner) cancelled our reservation! more

The BEST kept secret! 4/23/2007

I made plans to visit Serenity for my sweeties 40th birthday because I wanted to do something ""different"". I wanted the opportunity to escape from the City and have a nice, peaceful & serene weekend. I got exactly what I'd hoped for and then some! Everything was PERFECT! We arrived and the suite was BEAUTIFUL! The setting reminded me of a lovely country cottage. Attention to detail was so thorough. The crisp, white, freshly ironed sheets, fresh flowers and even a personalized welcome card! I couldn't have asked for more but there was! Our suite had cable TV, and even came equipped with a DVD, VCR combo!, fully stocked kitchen, mini-fridge, microwave, and 4-burner stove! If you plan right once you are there--you won't have to leave for a THING. Breakfast was served with a smile by 2-sweet young ladies and was BEAUTIFUL! Fresh-squeezed OJ, french toast, potato skins--and fresh strawberries, blue berries, and blackberries! We also took advantage of the wonderful spa services offered! He LOVED the long, relaxing massage and foot treatment! Again I want to that Serenity for making his 40th memorable and totally relaxed. We coldn't have asked for a better getaway!
