avoid this place; i lived there for 6 years; the maintenance policies are poor; the pool season, already short, opens too late and closes too early; the propane bbq grills often have no propane; we were told not to feed the birds via our apt balcony; the move-out experience was the worst in my 35 years apartment dwelling; the manager went on an immature rant in front of 3 other long term residents about a dirty carpet; we moved in on an expedited basis with the undestanding that the carpet , already 3 years old was not going to be replaced; after our 6 years there, that carpet was then 9 years old abd threadbare in spots; then at move out, the manager, stunningly unprofessional and inappropriately attempted to chastise us for a dirty carpet; i believe the average , unwritten duration for apt dwellers' carpets is about 5 years... whether this move out scenario was an attempt to keep our deposit or just incompetence is unknowable but either way avoid the apt and the manager it was a relief to leave more

Overall a great family owned property. Most units, include your heat, water, storage, and underground parking space. I have lived here for 4 years. Management is good about taking care of repairs within a timely fashion for the most part and usually repairs are taken care of the same day I call them in. Snow removal in the winter has never been an issue around here either. Lots of students, families, and retirees live here and I've never had an issue with any of my neighbors. No pets are allowed which is kind of a bummer, but I enjoy the park like setting, being close to the Menomonee River Parkway, the mall, and the freeway. Management offers a $250 gift card for tenants who refer people to move here which I think is pretty cool. Great for students who know others that will be attending the medical college or transferring for residency. The lease does state that cover ups and shoes most be worn to and from the pool, but thats probably because no one wants to see old man Jensen walking down to the pool in his speedo. So, I think it's a good rule although I am not sure if it is actually enforced. Overall a nice property, compared to others within the Milwaukee area. more

Don't be fooled by the pretty outside... 6/14/2011

My husband and I have lived here for 2 years and the first few months, we loved it. After that, our experience went down hill. We picked this place for the lovely community and the great ammenities. Also, it is close to Children's Hospital where he and I are both completing our residency. We have lived there for 1 year and have finally moved out!\r \r The staff here are horrible and should find themselves a new profession. The staff often enter the apartment with no notice. I have walked in on them or they have walked in on me atleast once a month since I've lived there. They usually enter during hours where most people are at work. I do not feel safe with the traffic of unknown people in my apartment. We have had a broken washer and dryer in our unit since we moved in. We have sent numerous requests for them to fix it, and it still wasnt fixed the day we moved out. I also have often heard ALL of the staff menbers call me ""the Chineese woman in apartment 291"" which is beyond rediculous this day and age and completely unprofessional on their behalf. I am not Chinese, I am Korean. \r \r The pool is nice, filled with a lot of medical college students and a lot of senior citizens. One of the staff members who is in charge of reinforcing the pool rules goes a little overboard with the rules. We have often got yelled at for ""too much splashing"", not laying our towels nice enough on the beach chairs, or not wearing the appropriate attire while walking to the pool. It states in the lease that if you are going to the pool, one must wear the hair pulled back, have a full body swimsuit cover up, and open toed shoes on to walk to and from the pool. If you do not follow this, you could get ""written up"". \r \r All in all, we are not impressed. You can get a better apartment for a lot less rent! more
