I have only been a client with Sensiba San Filippo for the one return I filed last year, and prior, I was with W.H. Mayer for, I don't know, a million years. They merged recently, and I am not sure if they have the same staff there, but we still have the same tax preparer that we used to have.
We have a complicated return, and recently we talked to an EA but no CPAs or tax experts just yet. Our EA has been there forever, and previously, there was a CPA that worked with us on a complicated return involving patents. That involved a lot of meetings, and now that everything is set and we know their business, we send everything electronically. We only have to discuss things with when when we have a new contact or client to submit to them, since I do most of our accounting myself and they sort through it.
The process works smoothly and it's predictable, which I like as a client. They get to know you, and we don't have to discuss too much. I look over their work when I get it and see what they have used and charged because I understand returns, but I don't have the patience to file them myself. I'm very happy with them and happy about the Sensiba merger. It doesn't bother me as long as the service is the same.
