I brought my car to Select on the recommendation of Victory VW on 2/13/08, it needed a new rear door, window, and cover over the rear wheel. As of today, 3/14/08 it is still not fixed. The first two weeks, I was told that it ""would be ready by the end of next week"", by week 3 I was scolded for checking in on it and being told, ""we take so long because we're a quality repair shop, other places do poor work in faster time, it's a busy time of year, we just had 2 ambulances come in for work, etc."" as if to make me feel like I'm bothering them because I wanted to know what was going on with my car after 21 days. Today, (day 30) was the day I should have been able to pick it up. For the first time in a month, they actually initiated a call to me to tell me the window regulator was bad and needed replaced as well. They promised to call me by lunch time to let me know the status. I ended up having to go there in person as I did not get a call back and was tired of getting the run around over the phone. By 330 pm I was told it would be till Monday now to get my car back in full repair (with a price tag of about 3500 dollars, which they haven't even given me a breakdown of those charges). He even had the nerve to say ""we'll call you"" - heck, they called me one time in 30 days without me having to call them first, I refuse to believe they'll make that effort after the poor service I've received so far. Meanwhile the rental car bill is out of control, but I have no other choice as Select is taking their good old time, letting my car sit idle in their shop for weeks on end (going on months). I don't recommend anyone use this company. Personally I will drive my car across state lines if I have to just to avoid doing business with Select Collision in Hershey again!
Pros: none so far, but that car better look showroom new after all this time
Cons: service, customer contact, takes over a month to repair my car?
