We had a gift certificate for this restaurant so we decided to go this evening for a Mother's Day celebration. \r
\r
Before I begin, let me preface by saying that the restaurant was not busy, we were one of maybe 10 tables occupied, most of which were parties of 2-3 persons, and there were maybe 4 people at the \r
\r
The food was mediocre, the prices seemed inflated for the quality and preparation and then there was the service - or the absence of service I should say!\r
\r
The server had a look that was a cross between someone who hated people and that of someone who was continuously sucking on a lemon, which was only matched by his complete lack of personality. He didn't smile at all and several times asked a question and then walked off without waiting for an answer.\r

We waited 5 minutes before he came to the table to take drink orders. He second guessed our entire order, as though he assumed we knew nothing about food or what or how much we wanted. The server brought us the salad that came with the dinner and the miso soup. The soup was weak and the tofu tasted like it had been tossed in literally just before service. When we finished, he brought us some tempura we had ordered, and while we were working on that, he brought out our daughter's dinner and then NOTHING for 25 minutes! So our daughter was completely through with her meal and unoccupied when we finally did receive our plates. Add this to the fact that our sushi didn't arrive until half way through our dinner plates, which to me suggests that either the server did not know the abilities of the back chefs and the sushi chefs OR there is no sense of timing, in either event it just added to the lousy service. The final straw was waiting 10 minutes to get the check and then having 18% gratuity automatically added to the check. WHAT A JOKE! \r
\r
A word to the wise, this is NOT the place to enjoy great food. If I could give this place zero out of five I would!
Pros: Patio dining
Cons: Service is abysmall! Not kid friendly (although they have a child menu). Ambience is plain.
